A Briton on the Greek island of Samos filmed the tsunami as it surged into the town square on Friday 30 October. People are shouting and emergency service sirens sound while the water pours in. The man, freelance journalist Fareid Atta, also captured firefighters at the scene of a partially collapsed building where a woman was believed to be trapped. FBI Arrests Michigan White Supremacy Leader

Federal agents on Thursday arrested two men, including the self-proclaimed leader of "The Base", a white supremacist group, as part of a continuing crackdown on radical militia extremism in Michigan three weeks after the FBI said it thwarted a plot to kidnap Gov. Gretchen Whitmer. This white supremacy extremism crackdown in Michigan was led by a team of FBI agents that arrested Justen Watkins, 25, of Bad Axe, the self-proclaimed leader of "The Base", and Alfred Gorman, 35, of Taylor, during a pair of raids Thursday, including at a rural farmhouse in Bad Axe, 100 miles north of Detroit. According to Michigan Attorney General Dana, the 3 1/2-acre farm was being converted into a "hate camp" for members of the group to prepare to start civil war and overthrow the government, according to the criminal case, which also accused "Base" leaders of encouraging others to harass a Washtenaw County family online. Watkins and Gorman are linked to a December incident in Dexter in which a local family was terrorized by the men, who tried to intimidate a husband and wife and shared their address with members of the Base, Nessel said in a statement. The developments continue a string of arrests, raids and operations targeting far-right, anti-government extremists and white supremacists this month. Footage shows perfectly-formed icicles hanging from a fallen tree branch over an ice-cold river in Canada. The picturesque Christmas scene with the bauble-like ice was recorded alongside a clear river in Alberta on October 26. Passer-by Panjarat Sonrum said: "The icicles were so cute. The water in the river was not frozen, but the icicles were still forming because of how cold it was. I was amazed at their matching shape, like natural Christmas decorations.'' Flooding in a town in India led to a sari shop being mobbed by women trying to bag a bargain on 15 October. Heavy rains led to a flood in the town of Hukkeri in Karnataka, in which many vehicles were washed away and shops had their goods damaged. One unfortunate business was a popular store, Karnataka Clothes Centre. Hoping to get rid of their flood-damaged stock, the owner started selling saris for 20 rupees ($0.27). It was such a huge discount that the store was soon inundated with crowds of female customers. So many that the employees had to shout at the customers to observe social distancing and wait in an orderly fashion. "We decided to sell everything at a huge loss to dispose the stock but did not expect the mad rush" the owner said.

And she graciously endorses Biden/Harris and her place in any Democratic Party agenda is solid and she does not back down and inspires many young Americans. She's a force despite many who belittle everything she says, does, and stands for. She kindly just doesn't give a f*ck if you hate her. That attitude just sucks for those who do hate her. Because she just banks on it for more support.

Devotees worship at beautiful shrine at Phuket Vegetarian Festival

Devotees are seen worshipping at a beautiful white shrine decorated with golden statues at a religious festival in southern Thailand. Thai-Chinese followers of the Taoist religion took part in the annual Vegetarian Festival in Phuket in the south of the country. Footage shows the colourful event at night time with followers praying and making offerings at one of the many traditional shrines, which originate from China. Followers believe that refraining from meat and other 'sins' for nine days helps to purify their spirits. In one of the other highlights of the vegetarian festival, followers enter a trance in which they are possessed by the Gods, before their pierce their faces with skewers. According to locals, the ritual started in the 19th century when a Chinese opera group visiting the island fell ill with a malaria epidemic. The musical troop were doomed until they began worshipping the Nine Emperor Gods and cleansing their bodies by avoiding meat and practising self-flagellation. The bizarre practices have continued among believers. Participants said this year's festival had taken on extra significance because of the Covid-19 coronavirus pandemic gripping the world, which originated from Wuhan, China. Many believe that the pain from the piercings is a way to absorb the ills of their community onto themselves and help to bring good luck back. Followers wearing white join the festivals and parades to cleanse their souls. During the nine-day period from October 17 to 25, they will abstain from meat, alcohol, sex and bad behaviour. Pregnant and menstruating women must stay at home. The festival is normally packed with tourists from around the world but Thailand closed its borders on March 22 and has not re-opened to holidaymakers since.

Footage shows the colourful event at night time with hundreds of stalls selling food, which has to be vegetarian. Followers believe that refraining from meat and other 'sins' for nine days helps to purify their spirits. In one of the other highlights of the vegetarian festival, followers enter a trance in which they are possessed by the Gods, before their pierce their faces with skewers. According to locals, the ritual started in the 19th century when a Chinese opera group visiting the island fell ill with a malaria epidemic. The musical troop were doomed until they began worshipping the Nine Emperor Gods and cleansing their bodies by avoiding meat and practising self-flagellation. The bizarre practices have continued among believers. Participants said this year's festival had taken on extra significance because of the Covid-19 coronavirus pandemic gripping the world, which originated from Wuhan, China. Many believe that the pain from the piercings is a way to absorb the ills of their community onto themselves and help to bring good luck back. Followers wearing white join the festivals and parades to cleanse their souls. During the nine-day period from October 17 to 25, they will abstain from meat, alcohol, sex and bad behaviour. Pregnant and menstruating women must stay at home. The festival is normally packed with tourists from around the world but Thailand closed its borders on March 22 and has not re-opened to holidaymakers since.

This document illustrates years of organisation, struggle, and lengthy legal proceedings. The photographs and graphics used in this film are from the period between 2008 and 2020. These visuals depict the student occupation of the university, street protests, workers' strikes, and visual propaganda used for various purposes. On the audio track (an interview from 2016), Radio Borba (Eng. Radio Struggle) interviews Eugen Babi'c after his conviction in a criminal procedure from 2014 onwards. Also included are audio clips of a protest in 2013, after which the police attacked the protesters. In this act of repression, 15 policemen were involved in the apprehension of Eugen Babi'c, in which others also suffered consequences, including a policeman. The focus of the radio interview is on those events. Network of Anarchists takes the credit for the film, commemorating the 4th anniversary of the verdict in Rijeka (2016). The film is meant for those who do not know what happened, those that want to remind themselves of the events, and those that think it's all over. RAKES ON A PLANE (UNCUT)-what the media hid from you

Headlines profiled a white man as racist for his outbursts at a black woman on a plane. Little was said about what led to his ire. But earlier footage reveals the woman saying "f*ck you" to him, threatening violence and calling him a "cracker" (:14). She later assaulted him but, only he was thrown off. He did continue being loud after the woman withdrew but, it was in response to random people chiming in. She, on the other hand, was violent. Why wasn't she thrown off? Other passengers have to spend the rest of the flight uneasy about a volatile person. It's good to be fair and respectful to everyone but, knee-jerk, politically-correct nonsense doesn't help anyone. I hope his majesty files a discrimination suit against Jetblue to wake them up.

Reminiscent of a volcano plume, wildfires in recent days are dominating the Colorado skyline. Filmer Edward Harrell, who recorded the footage with a drone on October 21, said: "It's as if you can feel the monstrous fire going through through a series of moods as the sun retreats into darkness. The problem is on the ground where the largest fire in state history continues on. The view is from the Denver area specifically shot in Broomfield. I'm facing north west. In a weird way it's becoming the new norm. The first time plume was visible it was a big deal; some days it would rain ash in Denver and surrounding areas. Now you know it's there and if you can't see it you probably will later in the day."

Why I don't believe in the polls, and you shouldn't either.

ANALYSIS/OPINION: If you listen to most mainstream media outlets, you would think there is no hope for President Trump in the 2020 election. He's constantly double digits behind in polling, regardless of the fact that we see massive boat parades, car parades and standing-room-only rallies everywhere he goes. Over the past two months, I took it upon myself to travel flyover country and the north, spanning Kentucky, Ohio, Colorado, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Texas and North Dakota. Throughout my journey I spoke with residents and business owners about the election, who they're voting for and where they see things going in the 2020 election. What came of two conversations in particular will bring a little bit of perspective to those polls. The first conversation that stood out to me was at a barbershop in Excelsior, Minnesota - a town with the population of about 2,500 about 30 minutes outside of Minneapolis. While getting my hair cut, I struck up a conversation with the barber and patrons. Of the residents there, three had been polled about the presidential election, and the barber said that both he and his wife had received separate phone calls. All - every one of them - told me that they told the pollster that they were voting for Joe Biden, when they are voting for Mr. Trump. Why would they do this? According to all of them, for the safety of their family. Each person in the barbershop stated that they knew the George Floyd riots were caused by the left and each said they were afraid that if they said that they were Trump voters, violence or being canceled could happen to them. The barbershop owner in particular stated that he was, "well aware of cancel culture ..." and worried he would be slammed on online ratings, and people would try to destroy his decades-old business based on his support of the president - so he lied to protect his livelihood. The second conversation that stood out to me was with my Uber driver just outside of Dallas, Texas. My driver was an immigrant from Nigeria to America nearly 20 years ago and an immigrant from New York City to a suburb of Dallas just last month. I asked the father of four what he thought about the election and he said that, where he once was a Democrat, he would never vote Democratic again because of New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo and New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio's shutting down of the state and city. He used his stimulus money and extra unemployment from the federal government to uproot his family and move across the country for "... half the rent, no state income tax, and the ability to work." He added that where he voted Democratic in the past and "never liked Trump," he now realizes that Democratic policy hurt him and his ability to live the American dream, and he "couldn't imagine voting for Biden." These two conversations, one with five people in a barbershop in Minnesota and another with an immigrant from Africa who never liked Mr. Trump are just the tip of the iceberg. In each of more than 50 conversations I've had since being on the road, I've asked if any person knew someone who voted for then-candidate Trump in 2016 who was not going to vote for him in 2020, the answer was always no. I'd follow up by asking if each person knew someone who didn't vote for Mr. Trump in 2016 but are voting for him in 2020, the answer was always yes - and additionally it was almost always multiple people. In one instance in Louisville, Kentucky, the next-door neighbors of a man who I spoke with who were Mexican immigrants, asked him for information on where to go to register to vote, since they had never done so in America. He interjected that he asked them why they decided to vote in this election and the mother of the family replied, "To vote for Trump." They later added a Trump sign to their front yard. The silent majority is alive, well and growing in America - and they are staying silent or flat-out lying because they're afraid they'll be attacked or canceled by the left if they speak out. Although my reach isn't great as just one person traveling and speaking to people alone around the country, I believe what I'm seeing is a microcosm of America in this election cycle. Why would someone risk their life's work or their family's safety for a simple answer to a phone poll? Sure, I could be wrong, but you should ask yourselves the same questions I asked the folks I spoke with: Do you personally know someone who voted for President Trump in 2016 who isn't voting for him now? And do you personally know someone who didn't vote for President Trump who is voting for him this time around? The answers to those questions are more telling than any CNN, MSNBC, ABC, Washington Post or New York Times poll.
