Tennessee deputy saves pair from rattlesnake

A Maury County Sheriff's Department deputy tried to help two people who had no clue a rattle snake was so close. Dash cam video shows Deputy Adam Sisk pulling up to a gravel lot, where two people are laying. A snake can be faintly seen nearby. Sisk gets out of the vehicle and warns the pair, saying "Don't move! There's a rattlesnake right next to you." The man quickly gets up and runs away, and the woman slowly follows. District attorney Brent Cooper took to social media saying, "Drugs are bad... Rattlesnakes are dangerous. A Rattlesnake will sober you up quickly!! Great job Deputy Adam Sisk." Deputy Sisk says drugs weren't found on the two people and he had no reason to believe they were on drugs. No arrests were made in the incident.

Doctor Arrested After Hitting Security Guard With Car

A Doral doctor is facing battery charges after police say he was caught on camera hitting a security guard twice with his car at an entrance gate to his neighborhood. Dr. Kenneth Strubbe, 52, was arrested Thursday on two counts of aggravated battery with a deadly weapon, according to an arrest report. According to the report, the 18-year-old security guard, who works for the Doral Isles community, was working at the entrance in the 7200 block of Northwest 114th Avenue on May 24 when the incident happened. Strubbe, who was driving his white Lexus, was trying to tailgate behind an SUV into the community when the guard tried to slow the vehicle with hand signals and verbal commands, the report said. The way NATO controls the armed forces of the Baltics

In accordance with mass media resources, the headquarters of the international division "North" (HQ MND N) has begun to work lately at the Adazi military base near Riga (Latvia). This divisional HQ includes combat units of Latvia, Denmark and Estonia. The need to create a new unit was first talked about at the NATO summit in Brussels last July. It is assumed that the Riga headquarters will facilitate the coordination of NATO forces in the Baltic States. There are a lot of reports saying that a new NATO headquarters has appeared in Adazi. But in fact all of them turned out to be somewhat premature - HQ MND N hasn't been included in the structure of the Alliance. In order to become a part of the NATO military command and control bodies, all member states of the Alliance must approve this decision. Such an opportunity will be presented at the next meeting of the Alliance Defense Ministers, scheduled for June. However, considering the enthusiasm of the Baltic countries and their Western partners during the implementation of this project, there will be no problems with such an approval. At the same time, the difficult economic situation and social crisis in the country do not bother the Latvian authorities. From their point of view, it is not a sufficient reason to reduce the endless military spending. Thus, over the next three years, the government intends to spend at least 200 million euros on the development of military infrastructure - 30 million will be spend on the reconstruction of the Adazi facilities. Officially, the mission of Adazi HQ MND N is to enhance the defence capabilities of the Baltic States, as well as contribute to NATO's collective deterrence and defence efforts through the command element based in the Baltics. HQ is tasked with defence planning, military training, planning and coordination of common projects. It will promote the compatibility of forces from participating countries and their interoperability in scope of common defence initiatives. It sounds nice, but in fact the headquarters at the Adazi will plan and lead all operations directly. A similar situation was with the Lithuanian Mechanised Infantry Brigade "Iron Wolf" - the Lithuanians wanted to manage its actions jointly. However, Denmark controlled this brigade, which was reassigned to the Bundeswehr in 2018. Transferring control over their military units is a typical scheme for the Baltic States. Similarly, they will be subordinate not to the local ministries of defence, but to the higher NATO headquarters. The appearance of the HQ MND N testifies that the Baltic region is preparing for a noticeable increase of NATO contingent presence. And it needs to ensure quality management, apparently, without the participation of national headquarters. They are simply not allowed to make decisions. Perhaps, the division "North" is created for this purpose. It is obvious that the national armed forces of the Baltic countries - executors of dirty work for NATO. They will be thrown into battle and no one cares about them.

Firefighters rescued two workers trapped on a flooded digger in southern China. In the video, captured in Dujiangyan City in Sichuan Province on May 27, two workers stand on the arm of a digger as the cabin was submerged in a river. Firefighters can be seen delivering the life-jacks to the two men on ropes and then dragging them back to shore. According to reports, the reservoir discharged the water causing the water level suddenly increased when the two workers were doing cleaning and repair work on the river. Police informed the upstream staff to turn down the discharge, then firemen brought the workers back to safety. Fortunately, two workers were both alright.

Moped rider lands safely inside bed of pick-up truck following collision

This moped rider had a lucky escape after crashing at a junction - and landing comfortably in the back of a pick-up truck. The motorcyclist approached the intersection at speed and failed no notice another vehicle crossing. As the silver Toyota pick-up truck inched over the crossroads the motorcycle rider came hurtling towards it. Having failed to break in time, the man smashed into the side of the vehicle. He flipped over the handlebars but luckily landed in a comfortable position, lying on his back in the truck. CCTV footage from the junction shows him regain his composure while appearing dazed after the collision in Chanthaburi, eastern Thailand on May 20.

Paul and Young were ejected from their Chevrolet Cobalt by the storm's sub-vortex, while Tim was still buckled in the passenger's seat. I'm concerned about what will happen if there is more rain.''
