Spotlight stolen from tourist downing a pint as brawl erupts around him

This was the shocking moment a brawl was caught on camera as a holidaymaker was showing off his drinking skills - taking the limelight away from him. On the tourist hotspot island of Crete, Greece a young man is showing off to his friends how fast he can glug a glass of what appears to be beer. As his gloating gets into the swing of things a sudden brawl breaks out behind him, forcing the cameraman to choose between recording his friend or the fight. As he finishes the drink, the brawl continues with gratuitous blows to a couple of men. The men on the receiving end of the violence make desperate attempts to escape but the mob holds them fast. The filmer said: "No one is quite sure what the man did, but he was either inside or just outside of a club, either selling things or just being sketchy. "The people who attack him were bouncers and not random people off the street came in to start punching." The footage was captured on July 2, 2018.

Beluga whale suspected of being 'Russian spy' seen in Norwegian waters in mystery harness

A group of Norwegian marine experts were alerted to a beluga whale with a harness attached to its body yesterday (April 29). The Beluga whale was found by marine biologist Jorgen Wiig and his colleagues Freddy Norvoll and Yngve Larsen in waters near Finnmark after a group of fishermen contacted the authorities. Wiig and his colleagues were diverted from there initial route, which was to "to do fisheries control" far north of Norway, as the whale "had some kind of strange thing attached to itself''. The fisherman who reported the incident managed to keep the mammal under surveillance for two hours until Wiig and his crew arrived. Wiig explained the encounter in detail: "When we arrived we got our disentangling gear ready and went out in our small boat. "We managed to lure the whale towards us with the help of some cod fillet fished by our captain Freddy Norvoll. "The whale was totally habituated to humans and we could touch it and talk to it. "We thought the whale could be Russian, but we don't know so many Russian words so we tried to just talk Norwegian to it. "I tried to lure the whale towards the boat and Yngve tried to unclip the harness (it was attached with clips) but we didn't quite have the reach. "The fishermen were still around since the whale was quite interested in their boat for some reason." The crew eventually managed to retrieve the harness that was attached to the whale after a brief struggle. Wiig later added: "I believe the whale comes from Murmansk where the Russian Navy has been known to train belugas to conduct military operations before - like guarding naval bases, helping divers, find lost equipment. "We have been in contact with whale researchers which I know and they have been in contact with Russian researchers who say it likely is a whale that has been trained by the Russian Navy in Murmansk. "During the Cold War Russia also trained marine mammals to deliver explosives and kill people. "Thankfully, this was not the case for this whale."

Flooding turns Canada car park into beach complete with tidal debris

The Ottawa river made a car park look like a beach, when floodwater submerged it entirely, turning it into an impromptu beach with fragments of nearby trees lining the edges. Venezuelan opposition leader Juan Guaido on Tuesday went to a military base in the nation's capital to proclaim the end of socialist President Nicolas Maduro's regime and called for a military uprising. Leopoldo Lopez, his ally and mentor long held under house arrest, was freed and accompanied him to Miranda Air Base (also know as: La Carlota military base) in Caracas, where they spoke on a highway outside as hundreds gathered. They were flanked by dozens of soldiers who concealed their faces with masks and wore blue bracelets to signal their allegiance. The Senate unanimously passed the bill Monday, two days after a gunman opened fire in a California synagogue, killing one and injuring three others. ... The anti-Semitism definition also includes expressing hatred for Jews, calling for the killing or harming of a Jewish person, criticizing the collective power of the Jewish community, or accusing Jewish people or Israel of inventing or exaggerating the Holocaust. Imagine a bill prohibiting criticism of white people. Imagine a bill prohibiting expressing dislike or hate for white people. Imagine a bill prohibiting skepticism about extraordinary statements that white people make. Now imagine all of the above being a thing in a nonwhite country. From the full text of the bill: (a) Examples of anti-Semitism include: 1. Calling for, aiding, or justifying the killing or harming of Jews, often in the name of a radical ideology or an extremist view of religion. 2. Making mendacious, dehumanizing, demonizing, or stereotypical allegations about Jews as such or the power of Jews as a collective, especially, but not exclusively, the myth about a world Jewish conspiracy or of Jews controlling the media, economy, government or other societal institutions. 3. Accusing Jews as a people of being responsible for real or imagined wrongdoing committed by a single Jewish person or group, the State of Israel, or even for acts committed by non-Jews. 4. Accusing Jews as a people or the State of Israel of inventing or exaggerating the Holocaust. 5. (c) Nothing in this subsection shall be construed to diminish or infringe upon any right protected under the First Amendment to the United States Constitution, or the State Constitution. Nothing in this subsection shall be construed to conflict with federal or state discrimination laws. They are the ones with the double standards; they openly recognize that they shill for open borders while Israel's borders are protected by big effective walls. See, it doesn't matter that blacks commit insane amounts of hate crimes against whites and own the monopoly of interracial rape. Those are not really hate crimes and there's no such thing as anti-white because you can't be racist against white people and you're not guilty of anything if you hurt or offend whites, because of the crusades, colonialism and slavery. The crimes that really matter are those that hurt or offend Jews, and we can't really explain why or have a conversation about it because doing so would be anti-Semitic. This is quite a tricky situation we find ourselves in.

Motorcyclist Survives After Building Collapsed Onto Him

A lucky motorcyclist had a miraculous escape after a building collapsed onto him during a deadly tropical storm. Sornchai Luenkathok, 16, had set off from his home when the heavy storm battered in Nakhon Ratchasima, northeastern Thailand on Thursday April 25 evening. He stopped under public pavilion to shelter from the rain when the poles gave way. The roof and metal beams then collapsed on top of him. Kwanchai Choengjorhor, who was also sheltering under the building but managed to quickly escape the collapse, called the rescue foundation after seeing the unconscious boy covered with blood. Footage shows the officers from Sawang Metta Foundation lifted the roof up with the pile of bricks before slowly carried the injured out of the debris. The team spent 20 minutes to eventually rescue the young biker and send him to the hospital. His legs were broken while his head and shoulders were also wounded.

Jealous Buddhist Monk Carries Girlfriend's Dead Body After Shooting Her

CCTV footage shows how a jealous boyfriend who had just became a Buddhist monk carried his girlfriend's dead body onto the back of a motorcycle and drove away moments after shooting her in the head. Patya Puangsook, 22, met her boyfriend Thongchai Klangmuang, 30, at a nightclub in Khon Kean, northeastern Thailand last Sunday night (21/04) to celebrate him being ordained into the religion. But after several hours of drinking, the couple started to argue because Patya was receiving attention from many men at the bar. Thongchai accused the pretty sales assistant of cheating on him while he had been at a temple for the last week practising meditation to become a monk. The couple's friend Thampassorn Phuttharaksa, 26, took the pair back to Thongchai's apartment. But they started arguing and eventually came to blows. Angry Thongchai then grabbed a handgun from his drawer and shot his girlfriend in the head to stop the quarrel. Patya was killed instantly.

A group of Norwegian marine experts were alerted to a beluga whale with a harness attached to its body yesterday (April 29). The Beluga whale was found by marine biologist Jorgen Wiig and his colleagues Freddy Norvoll and Yngve Larsen in waters near Finnmark after a group of fishermen contacted the authorities. Wiig and his colleagues were diverted from there initial route, which was to "to do fisheries control" far north of Norway, as the whale "had some kind of strange thing attached to itself." The fisherman who reported the incident managed to keep the mammal under surveillance for two hours until Wiig and his crew arrived. Wiig explained the encounter in detail: "When we arrived we got our disentangling gear ready and went out in our small boat. "We managed to lure the whale towards us with the help of some cod fillet fished by our captain Freddy Norvoll. "The whale was totally habituated to humans and we could touch it and talk to it. "We thought the whale could be Russian, but we don't know so many Russian words so we tried to just talk Norwegian to it. "I tried to lure the whale towards the boat and Yngve tried to unclip the harness (it was attached with clips) but we didn't quite have the reach. "The fishermen were still around since the whale was quite interested in their boat for some reason." The crew eventually managed to retrieve the harness that was attached to the whale after a brief struggle. Wiig later added: "I believe the whale comes from Murmansk where the Russian Navy has been known to train belugas to conduct military operations before - like guarding naval bases, helping divers, find lost equipment. "We have been in contact with whale researchers which I know and they have been in contact with Russian researchers who say it likely is a whale that has been trained by the Russian Navy in Murmansk. "During the Cold War Russia also trained marine mammals to deliver explosives and kill people. "Thankfully, this was not the case for this whale."

Motorcyclist survives building collapse during tropical storms in Thailand

A lucky motorcyclist had a miraculous escape after a building collapsed onto him during a deadly tropical storm. Sornchai Luenkathok, 16, had set off from his home when the heavy storm battered in Nakhon Ratchasima, northeastern Thailand. He stopped under the public pavilion to shelter from the rain when the poles gave way. The roof and metal beams then collapsed on top of him. Kwanchai Choengjorhor, who was also sheltering under the building but managed to quickly escape the collapse, called the rescue foundation after seeing the unconscious boy covered in blood. Footage shows the officers from Sawang Metta Foundation lifting the roof up with the pile of bricks before slowly carrying the injured out of the debris. The team spent 20 minutes to eventually rescue the young biker and send him to the hospital. His legs were broken while his head and shoulders were also wounded. Manop Sangchan, the village chief of Hua Thaly Subdistrict, said that the incident was reported to the provincial government. He said: ''The civil officers will check the damage and will plan to reconstruct the building. They will also support the injured during the treatment in the hospital.'' Sornchai has been recovering in hospital since the accident. Thailand has been experiencing tropical storms for the last two weeks. Weather experts have said El Nino warm phase is partly to blame, having caused soaring temperatures and humidity.

Large waterspout swirls through the sea off Thai island

This is the dramatic moment a large waterspout was seen swirling along the ocean off the coast of a Thai island. The tornado caused by an ongoing heatwave was seen by locals and tourists near Koh Si Chang in Chonburi, eastern Thailand this morning (April 30). The huge waterspout, which was travelling at around 40mph, appeared two kilometres away from the island's most popular shore, Tha Wang beach at 6.30 a.m. Village chief Arkom Tanyongmas, who captured the natural phenomenon, said that it was the biggest tornado that had ever happened on the island. He said: ''There has been this kind of tornado before but I have never seen it so huge and scary like this. ''It may be caused by the unpredictable weather. It's very hot these days and it hasn't rained on the island for a week.'' The tornado lasted for 30 minutes before it finally dispersed. Nobody was reportedly injured and no damages were caused. ''Luckily, the storm didn't last long enough to hit the island. I couldn't imagine what would happen if it did,'' Arkom added.

A powerful fire engulfed half of the market

Inspectors of traffic police in the Stavropol Territory blocked the segment of the federal highway "Kavkaz" because of a serious fire near Pyatigorsk , where the shop selling autooil was seized with fire. German surfer rides monster wave in Nazar'e setting up the race for a new world record

German surfer Sebastian Steudtner, 33-years-old, rode a spectacular monster wave in Portugal's Nazar'e during the giant swell of February 7. The footage was just recently released during the presentation of this year's nominations for the WSL Big Wave Awards, in which Steudtner's wave is now one of the final 5 waves nominated for the Biggest Wave Category. The Awards ceremony will take place in California on May 2 and a winner or potential record-breaker will be announced. Locals described this wave as one of the biggest waves of the season and one of the biggest ever. Pedro Miranda, the filmer who captured this footage, said: ''February 7 was a really tough day to capture video in Nazar'e, the mist was thick and the light was terrible, even so, I'm really happy to have captured Sebastian's wave, that thing was monstrous and Sebastian's ride was flawless, for sure one of the biggest and most spectacular waves I've ever captured out there.'' When asked about a potential new world record with this wave, Miranda stated: ''I don't like to go into speculations, the official measurements will be presented by the WSL in just a few days, this was one of the biggest waves of the season for sure, calling this or any other wave from this season a new world record is just a game that I prefer not to play.'' Sebastian Steudtner, who already won the WSL Biggest Wave Awards two times (back in 2010 and 2015), posted on social media an unofficial measurement, sent to him by the German Institute for Solid State Physics, that determined the height of the wave to be 95ft.

Man shot while at ATM, wrecks vehicle trying to escape

A man was shot while at a Memphis ATM, and now police are searching for the person who pulled the trigger. Police said the victim was just getting cash out of the ATM when another man walked up behind his car and tried to rob him. It all happened at the First Tennessee Bank ATM on Yale Road on April 10 around 1 a.m. With a gun in hand, that man demanded money from the driver, police said. The driver then pressed the gas. The suspected shooter shot him in the neck, and the victim crashed into a business across the street, according to a police report. The man who was shot rammed his car into a light pole, and it flipped. Police documents said the victim was partially ejected from the car and then needed help. That man - who has not been identified by police - was taken to the hospital in critical condition. He was later released and is expected to be okay. Police found one shell casing near the ATM. The victim told investigators he doesn't know who shot him. MPD is classifying this as an attempted robbery and aggravated assault. Officers are searching for the man caught on surveillance video.

A turtle, which was snared in an abandoned fishing net in the middle of the Arabian sea, received a miraculous lease of life. An Indian Coast Guard Service (ICGS) vessel spotted an Olive Ridley turtle trapped in a fishing net on April 24 while patrolling the maritime boundary with Pakistan near Gujarat. The coast guard sailors set out on an inflatable boat and managed to get a hold of the turtle. They then cut the net and released it back to the sea. Olive Ridleys are recognised as a vulnerable and endangered species by the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN).

By ending more than 6 weeks of a devastating flood that hit 2/3 of Iran's cities and villages, still, the Iranian Government is inactive. There have been three rounds of flood strikes hitting on the Iranian Cities. Still not any real action to relieve the people's hardship by Ayatollah Ali, Khamenei, the Supreme Leader except a few words about these tragedies. Khamenei attempted to save his face in order to salvage his terrified and hopeless allies following Washington's recent announcement, the regime would export as much oil as it needs! "What they are trying to do for the issue of oil will not get them anywhere. We can export our oil as much as we need, as much as is necessary, as much as we decide ourselves. Now, they think (referring to the US Administration) that they can prevent us," He said on Wed. April 24, during a meeting with a group of government employees. The latest news indicates that the conditions show further advancing into previously flooded areas. As an increasing number of Iranian companies and manufacturers go bankrupt or have slowed production as a result of inflation and corruption, a high number of workers go unpaid or are completely put aside. Dashcam footage shows a driver repeatedly ram another car on a busy road. In the clip, captured by Jay Cleave, a black Seat can be seen driving into another car three times, before continuing on to a busy roundabout in Plymouth, Devon. The incident happened near the busy Marsh Mills roundabout just before 11am yesterday. Police say several vehicles were involved in a crash. One witness told Plymouth Live: "A huge crash on the marsh mills roundabout I've just drove past, looks like it's gonna be there a while as cars are smashed up badly, looks like a few cars involved too." A Devon and Cornwall Police spokesperson said: "The road was cleared at 12.40pm. There is a police investigation pending." He was taken to hospital to be checked over before being taken into police custody where he remains at this time.

Endangered Florida Panther On Wrong Side Of Fence, Lured Back To Safety

The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) recently posted a video of a driver and FWC officers coming together to help an endangered Florida panther get to safety after it was seen stuck on the wrong side of a safety fence. On its Facebook page, the FWC calls the video 'How to Herd a Cat.' It was posted on April 22 and describes how highway workers spotted an endangered Florida panther trapped on the wrong side of a highway safety fence just north of I-75 east of Naples in Collier County and near the Florida Panther National Wildlife Refuge. The roughly 50-mile fence is designed to separate panthers from traffic and guide them to wildlife crossings beneath the highway but somehow, this panther was on the wrong side. Video from a responding FWC officer's body cam showed how he and a helpful motorist slowly and cautiously encouraged the wild cat to safety.

Severe flooding continues in eastern Canada as heavy rains are ongoing

Severe flooding continues in Ontario, eastern Canada, as a state of emergency has been declared in one town following rising water levels overnight last Sunday (April 28). Footage filmed on April 28 in the town of Bracebride shows the torrential flooding through a river, submerging a number of houses, as well as efforts to drain the flooding with pumps and machinery. Bracebride has since declared a state of emergency and Canadian armed forces were called in to help protect people's homes from the raging flood waters caused by rain and melting snow.

Fireproof! Man uses bare hands to sift tea leaves in a fiery pan

A man in north Vietnam is able to sift through tea leaves in a hot pan using only his bare hands in this amazing video from September 8, 2018. The man, from the high mountains province of Son La, is seen processing tea in a hot pan to dry the fresh leaves. He is one of those who still retains this manual method, as currently tea leaves are dried using a dryer to save time. However, tea leaves are dried by hot pan have a special flavour. The man claims he can sense the temperature through his palm to avoid tea leaves from burning or being too dry, and to adjust the flame at the bottom of the pan. The temperature in the pan is very high, which took many years to get used to the high temperature in the pan. Now the tea-maker reportedly does not feel hot when touching the pan. It takes about two hours to dry, during which the man must use his hand to reverse the tea leaves continuously in the pan. Tea leaves made with this method are very expensive. Currently, the price for one kilogram of dry tea leaves is $80 USD.

Zookeepers Convince Rare Chicks They Are Their Parents

This heartwarming footage shows zookeepers convincing 29 endangered chicks they are their parents as they feed, pet, talk to and play with the birds before they migrate. Anne-Gabriela Schmalstieg and Helena Wehner both work round the clock to nurture the 29 northern bald ibis (Geronticus eremita) chicks in a container next to the ibis aviary at the Schoenbrunn Zoo in the Austrian capital of Vienna. Under the watchful eye of zoo visitors, who can see the two women during the entire process of feeding and caring for the endangered birds, the goal is to prepare the birds for a future introduction into the wild as part of a conservation project. A group of residents in Sumatra, Indonesia, had a difficult time walking through a road completely submerged by floodwaters. UK truck driver's quick reactions prevent tragedy

The quick reactions of a UK truck driver prevented a certain tragedy when a woman unexpectedly ran into the road in South West London. Driver Craig Lindop from Hayling Island was making his way down Fulham Palace Road in London on March 1 when the woman suddenly ran out in front of him. Lindop slammed on the brakes of his 40-tonne car transporter and somehow came to a halt without hitting the unidentified woman. According to Lindop, she was later taken away in an ambulance, although she was unharmed physically. Social media users were impressed by Lindop's fast reflexes. "Ninja reactions there. Top map!" said one Facebook user.

This huge termite train was filmed winding across the ground. The long trail of the ant-like termite insects, which bite and sting, was seen in Prachinburi, eastern Thailand on Saturday, April 13. The termite trail appeared to be stretching more than 20 metres across the dry, dusty ground in the woodland. The filmer said: ''I didn't know what they were at first, either ants of termites. But I filmed them and asked friends and everyone agreed they were termites. The video was posted by Chris Lloyd on Twitter with the caption "A rare sighting this morning in Roath, Cardiff of Hannah of #StormHannah fame who's actually just an angry panda" on April 27. Chris had peaked through his blinds in the morning when he "Saw this angry panda thundering down the road looking for trouble."
