A New York man coughed on FBI agents and claimed he has the coronavirus on Monday as they arrested him for allegedly lying about the sale of $12,000 worth of medical supplies. Authorities say Baruch Feldheim, 43, of Brooklyn allegedly sold much-needed supplies such as N95 respirators and other personal protective equipment to a New Jersey doctor at 700% markup of their original price. When federal agents confronted him Monday at his home, he lied and said that he worked for a company that bought and sold PPE, according to the U.S. Attorney District of New Jersey's Office. Prosecutors say Feldheim also falsely said that he didn't possess large quantities of PPE and that he never sold them directly to individuals.

DOJ's FISA report contradicts claims by Dems, media figures that surveillance rules were strictly observed.

New findings by the Justice Department inspector general that the FBI has repeatedly violated surveillance rules stood in stark contrast to the years of assurances from top Democrats and media commentators that bureau scrupulously handled Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) warrants -- and prompted Republican lawmakers to caution that the FBI seemingly believes it has "carte blanche to routinely erode the liberties of Americans without proper justification." The DOJ watchdog identified critical errors in every FBI wiretap application that it audited as part of the fallout from the bureau's heavily flawed investigation into former Trump advisor Carter Page, who was surveilled in part because of a largely discredited dossier funded by the Hillary Clinton campaign and the Democratic National Committee (DNC). An FBI lawyer in that case even falsified a CIA email submitted to the FISA court in order to make Page's communications with Russians appear nefarious, the DOJ inspector general found; and the DOJ has concluded that the Page warrant was legally improper. But, the DOJ's new assessment indicated that FISA problems were systemic at the bureau and extended beyond the Page probe. In four of the 29 cases the DOJ inspector general reviewed, the FBI did not have any so-called "Woods files" at all, referring to documentation demonstrating that it had independently corroborated key facts in its surveillance warrant applications. In three of those applications, the FBI couldn't confirm that Woods documentation ever existed. The other 25 applications contained an average of 20 assertions not properly supported with Woods materials; one application contained 65 unsupported claims. The review encompassed the work of eight field offices over the past five years in several cases. "As a result of our audit work to date and as described below, we do not have confidence that the FBI has executed its Woods procedures in compliance with FBI policy," the DOJ IG wrote in a memo today to FBI Director Christopher Wray. Reaction on Capitol Hill, where Wray has already promised bureau-wide reforms, was scathing. "If the FBI is going to seek secret authority to infringe the civil liberties of an American citizen, they at least need to show their work," Senate Finance Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, said in a statement Tuesday. "FBI rules demand FISA applications be 'scrupulously accurate' and backed up by supporting documents to prove their accuracy. But we know that wasn't the case when the FBI sought and received the authority to spy on Carter Page." Grassley added: "Based on the inspector general's audit, the flawed Page case appears to be the tip of the iceberg. Not a single application from the past five years reviewed by the inspector general was up to snuff. That's alarming and unacceptable. The inspector general's decision to bring these failures to the director's attention before its audit is even completed underscores the seriousness of these findings." "It Ain't Easy Getting a FISA Warrant: I Was an FBI Agent and Should Know," read a 2017 article from former FBI special agent and CNN analyst Asha Rangappa, who spent most of her career as a university admissions administrator. It is unclear whether Rangappa has ever handled a FISA application. In the piece, Rangappa credulously asserted that FISA applications, after a preliminary exhaustive review, travel "to the Justice Department where attorneys from the National Security Division comb through the application to verify all the assertions made in it. Known as 'Woods procedures' after Michael J. Woods, the FBI Special Agent attorney who developed this layer of approval, DOJ verifies the accuracy of every fact stated in the application." Rangappa, who repeated the same message on-air multiple times, was not alone in the media in propping up the FISA process. A comprehensive review by The Washington Post's Erik Wemple underscored how Politico national security reporter Natasha Bertrand launched her career in part through ultimately debunked reporting on the Steele dossier. Bertrand, who told MSNBC that securing a FISA warrant was "extremely difficult," even claimed at one point that DOJ investigators found the dossier's author, Christopher Steele, credible. "The interview was contentious at first, the sources added, but investigators ultimately found Steele's testimony credible and even surprising," Bertrand wrote. "The takeaway has irked some U.S. officials interviewed as part of the probe - they argue that it shouldn't have taken a foreign national to convince the inspector general that the FBI acted properly in 2016." As Wemple noted, however, DOJ inspector general Michael Horowitz found numerous problems with the FBI's reliance on Steele, including its failure to alert the FISA court to a series of apparent problems with his credibility. Nevertheless, for several years, Democrats and other analysts at The New York Times, The Washington Post and CNN have repeatedly claimed that key claims in the Clinton-funded anti-Trump dossier had been corroborated and that the document was not critical to the FBI's warrant to surveil Page. Horowitz repudiated that claim, with the FBI's legal counsel even describing the warrant to surveil Page as "essentially a single source FISA" wholly dependent on the dossier. Among the unsubstantiated claims in the dossier: that ex-Trump lawyer Michael Cohen traveled to Prague to conspire with Russian hackers; that the Trump campaign was paying hackers working out of a nonexistent Russian consulate in Miami; that a lurid blackmail tape of Trump existed and might be in Russian possession; and that Page was bribed with a 19 percent share in a Russian company. In 2018, Vox published a piece by Zack Beauchamp titled, "The Democratic rebuttal to the Nunes memo tears it apart." That was a reference to the memo authored by Rep. Adam Schiff, D-Calif., and his intelligence panel, in rebuttal to Rep. Devin Nunes, R-Calif., and his concerns that the FISA process was heavily flawed. "Democratic Rep. Adam Schiff brought receipts," the article declared confidently. "This is a pretty thorough demolition," Julian Sanchez, a supposed expert on surveillance at the libertarian Cato Institute, wrote on Twitter. "The key question in an application like this isn't whether the source liked the target; it's whether the specific claims they're making are credible," Beauchamp writes. "And the Schiff memo points out that the FBI had independent reasons to believe that Steele's arguments were credible." Among those reasons, Beauchamp claimed, was that "Page had been on the bureau's radar for some time - as he had been approached by Russian spies in the past as a potential intelligence asset. According to Schiff, the October FISA application laid out Page's connections to the Kremlin 'in detail.' For instance, while Page was working for Trump, in July 2016, he traveled to Moscow to give a commencement speech at a Russian university, which certainly would have raised some red flags at the bureau." Since the Vox article was published, the DOJ inspector general found that ex-FBI attorney Kevin Clinesmith doctored a CIA email to help secure the Page warrant. Specifically, the FBI reached out to the CIA and other intelligence agencies for information on Page; the CIA responded in an email by telling the FBI that Page had contacts with Russians from 2008 to 2013, but that Page had voluntarily reported the contacts to the CIA and was serving as a CIA operational contact and informant on Russian business and intelligence interests. Clinesmith then doctored the CIA's email about Page to make it seem as though the agency had said only that Page was not an active source, according to Horowitz. Then, the FBI included Page's contacts with Russians in the warrant application as evidence he was a foreign "agent," without disclosing to the secret surveillance court that Page was voluntarily working with the CIA concerning those foreign contacts. In his Vox article, Beauchamp also excuses the FBI for not fully disclosing its knowledge of Steele's apparent bias and the factual problems with his dossier because the bureau noted in a footnote to its Page FISA thaht "the FBI speculates" that Steele had been hired to find "information that could be used to discredit Candidate #1's [Trump's] campaign." That disclosure was insignificant and incomplete, Nunes alleged -- and contrary to Schiff and Beaucahmp's claims, Horowitz ultimately supported Nunes' findings. Connecticut U.S. Attorney John Durham's criminal probe concerning the FBI's Russia probe remains ongoing. It has emerged since former National Security Adviser Michael Flynn's guilty plea that the FBI officials who interviewed Flynn, anti-Trump agent Peter Strzok and "SSA [Supervisory Special Agent] 1," have each separately been implicated by Horowitz in apparent misconduct and mismanagement in both the Flynn case and the Carter Page matter. Strzok's misconduct and anti-Trump bias are well-documented. The identity of SSA 1 is protected in the Flynn legal proceedings by a court order, but Fox News has identified the agent as Joe Pietnka, who moved last year from the Washington, D.C., area to San Francisco. Pientka briefly appeared on the FBI's website as an "Assistant Special Agent in Charge" of the San Francisco field office late last year, according to the Internet archive Wayback Machine. However, Pientka no longer appears on any FBI website after being removed shortly after Fox News identified him as the unnamed SSA in the IG report; Fox News is told Pientka received a promotion to a senior role in the bureau's San Francisco field office. Pientka's extensive role in handling the Page FISA has been outlined in Horowitz's report, and top Republican senators, including Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., have requested that Pientka sit for an interview to explain himself. "The media for FOUR FU--ING YEARS propped up expert after expert to tell us that FISA warrants are different!" independent journalist Mike Cernovich wrote on Twitter on Tuesday. "If you want to know why people don't trust experts anymore, here is your latest reason."

Corona Virus Cinema - where everyday is like a Sunday. here's an early film from the late 1940's showing a new fangled device called 'Mobile Phones'..... seems like it could be a good idea in certain situations but whether it takes off is another matter....the thought of every vehicle having access to mobile telephony is quite frankly a futuristic dream........as if.. Edit: the original info that came with this footage is repo'd here: 'Created in the late 1940s, this film from Bell explains the operation of the Mobile Telephone Service (MTS) by showing how it can be used to make business more efficient. The film also shows some of the cutting edge equipment used in the system and shows how it was installed in vehicles (7:30). MTS was a pre-cellular VHF radio system that linked to the Public Switched Telephone Network (PSTN). As such it used both radio signals and telephone lines to connect parties. MTS was the radiotelephone equivalent of land dial phone service. The Mobile Telephone Service was one of the earliest mobile telephone standards. It was operator assisted in both directions, meaning that if one were called from a land line the call would be routed to a mobile operator, who would route it to one's phone. Similarly, to make an outbound call one had to go through the mobile operator, who would ask for the mobile number and the number to be called, and would then place the call. This service originated with the Bell System, and was first used in St. Louis on June 17, 1946. The original equipment weighed 80 pounds (36 kg), and there were initially only 3 channels for all the users in the metropolitan area, later more licenses were added bringing the total to 32 channels across 3 bands This service was used at least into the 1980s in large portions of North America. On October 2, 1946, Motorola communications equipment carried the first calls on Illinois Bell Telephone Company's new car radiotelephone service in Chicago.Due to the small number of radio frequencies available, the service quickly reached capacity. MTS was replaced by Improved Mobile Telephone Service (IMTS), introduced in 1964. All calls were placed by a suitably equipped telephone operator. Outgoing calls were placed when the operator connected to a base station (originally using a cord board, but by the 1990s could be done by dialing a code sequence from a TOPS position), then announced the call over the channel (giving the channel's name first), e.g., "Adams calling 2M-2368, 2M-2368, 2M-2368." The page would usually be repeated twice more after a pause. The called party had to have their unit on and the volume set at a level that allowed them to notice a call and then listen to the called number. If the called party heard an incoming call, they would then use the microphone to announce they were receiving the call, and the operator would allow the two parties to speak, monitoring for the end of the call and marking a manual ticket for billing'.

Shelby County Sheriff deputies caught on video raises questions of police discretion and police abuse.

Sunday afternoon, a passerby captured on video a white Shelby County deputy following a lone black woman down a Cordova road, calling for backup and then joining three deputies who tackle her, cuff her and shove her into a sheriff's car. The three-minute video of the arrest quickly went viral. Viewers were outraged, as was I, but on Facebook, I took a measured tone, writing that I looked forward to learning what happened before the recording began. Based on the police report, the details are worse than I imagined. Before deputies encountered Kesha Gray, an eyewitness had already told them he saw her being choked and punched by a man outside a silver sedan. Yet it was Gray who ended up in jail. Gray, 29, is scheduled to appear in court Tuesday, charged with obstructing a highway, disorderly conduct, resisting arrest and assault. The incident raises issues of race and power, police discretion and police abuse, and how victims are re-traumatized by those who are supposed to protect and serve. Here's a condensed account: A passing motorist noticed a man choking, punching and dragging a black woman outside of a silver sedan on Pisgah Road in Cordova. The motorist stopped to help prevent what he thought was a kidnapping, but the man, later identified as the woman's fianc'e, threatened the motorist. The motorist pulled a gun on the fianc'e, who sped off. The victim left on foot, refusing to give her name to the motorist, who called police. She wouldn't give her name to the police officer who arrived, either, and that's her right in Tennessee. Tennessee does not have a stop-and-identify statute, which means police cannot force a person to identify him/her/themselves unless police have a reasonable suspicion that the person has committed a crime.

BABYSITTER TRANSPORTED TO HOSPITAL AFTER INSERTING A BABY IN HER VAGINA

Cincinnati, Ohio | A 31-year old woman was admitted to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center yesterday after the 14-month old toddler she was babysitting got stuck in her vaginal cavity. Latifah Brown called 911 around 9:30 PM last night, reporting that she had a baby stuck in her vagina. The operator first assumed that she was giving birth at home and dispatched an ambulance to the site. The paramedics had quite a surprise when they arrived on the site and saw what was actually happening. One of the paramedics, Brian Whitmore, related the incident in an interview with WBNS-10 TV. The paramedics spent more than an hour on the site trying to release the child from his difficult position but were unable to get the toddler out. Ms. Brown and the child were finally transported to the hospital, where doctors were able to separate them after a delicate operation. The young boy suffers from a dislocated hip, but doctors don't think he will suffer any sequelae from the incident. The babysitter was interrogated by police and confessed to deliberately inserting the child in her vaginal cavity. She explained that she was feeling depressed after her doctor told her she could never have children and wanted to know how it felt to give birth. Ms. Brown now faces a total of 11 criminal charges, including aggravated child neglect causing bodily harm, and could spend up to 65 years in prison. Her lawyer has asked for a psychiatric evaluation, claiming that she isn't fit to stand trial. Depending on the results of the evaluation, her trial could begin in June. https://ift.tt/2XFPu2C

Fake Cop Makes People Think They Are Getting Pulled Over

While traveling northbound on I-15 approaching the Las Vegas Strip, the cam car with several passengers was traveling in the carpool lane and changed lanes over the double line. Upon seeing this, a Ford Explorer speeds up to the cam car very close to the rear bumper, in a similar move used by highway patrol to perform a traffic stop. The cam car moves one lane to the right and the Explorer follows it, despite no other cars being in front of the cam car. The cam car assumed he was going to be pulled over. The Explorer is the same model used by law enforcement. It had a large square dash camera, a mounted computer in the front seat, and emergency lights held onto the front windscreen with suction cups, and black limo tint (illegal for private passenger cars) on the rear windows. It looked like a law enforcement vehicle. The cam car driver became suspicious when a traffic stop did not happen, and when he noticed the Explorer did not have a front plate. A call was placed to highway patrol who informed the cam car driver that this was not a law enforcement owned vehicle and to not stop if pulled over. After a few minutes of following the cam car closely, the Explorer sped off at a high rate of speed. The rear license plate was registered to a private owner. Highway patrol said there was nothing they could do about it.

Authorities responded to reports of a driver passed out in a car facing wrong-way near the intersection of Bayview Heights Drive and Federal Boulevard around 2:56 AM. Units arriving on scene located a male driver passed out inside a vehicle with fresh damage. The officer woke up the driver who appeared visibly intoxicated and removed him from the vehicle. During their investigation the driver became irate and began to threaten officers before he was tackled and taken into custody. Officers are searching the area to locate where any property that may have been damaged connected to the fresh damage on the suspect vehicle.

The USNS Comfort arrives to cheers and signs as people gathered to watch the giant hospital ship as it docks at Pier 90 along Manhattan's west side on Monday (March 30). We can expect that by June 1st we will be well on our way to recovery, we think that by June 1st a lot of great things will be happening. I want every citizen in our country to take heart and confidence in the fact that we have the best medical minds in the world tackling this disease, we have the best science, the best researchers, and the best talent anywhere working night and day to protect your family and loved ones and to overcome this pandemic. -Trump 03/29/2020 - Anyone believe this? I don't, one reason is because people are going to work without masks, gloves, hand sanitizer, and can't stop touching their faces. The actual number of infected is many times higher than the "confirmed cases". So here trump is telling us that we're going to have a peak of deaths in the next 2 weeks. I think we just entered the blow up phase of this pandemic, and by may we'll peak fully infected, and by june and july we'll have more than a million dead if not more. I do think people have changed their behaviors, and that will have an impact on "flatting the curve", but I think right now it is exploding. By giving this 2 week timeline, in the context of china's lies, people are thinking it's under control. Their behaviors may relax in the midst of its explosion when they're at highest risk. Most places are still seeing the small numbers. New york only 700 dead out of millions of people. They're watching the low ball hopkins map, thinking they can go shopping still to stock up before closures. Seeing the low numbers of dead in their age groups, and thus not reaching the levels of paranoia/hysteria required for the zombies to really avoid the virus, especially against the pressures of their paycheck to paycheck employment. Joe Diffie, a country music singer known for his lighthearted odes to country life that reached mainstream success in the 1990s, died Sunday from complications of coronavirus, otherwise known as the Trump Virus, his publicist said in a news release. Diffie, a 61-year-old native of Tulsa, Oklahoma, made 13 albums and had more than 20 Top 10 hits to his credit, his publicist said. Sporting a mustache and mullet, his boot-scooting crowd-pleasers included the hits, "If the Devil Danced (In Empty Pockets)" and "Honky Tonk Attitude." Two days before his death, Diffie released a statement saying he had tested positive for coronavirus and was receiving treatment. "My family and I are asking for privacy at this time. His songs were full of tongue-in-cheek takes on life as a "good ol' boy," like 1994's "Pickup Man," his song about pickup trucks and the men who drive them. Even on highways emptied of heavy traffic by the current coronavirus shelter-in-place, the California Highway Patrol says speeding drivers are still a problem including one apprehended after accelerating to speeds in excess of 120 mph. Mayfield student helped to stop an alleged kidnapping and assault by pinning a man to the ground

Video surveillance footage and 911 calls obtained by the Sun-News paint a terrifying picture of events that happened Wednesday morning at Chucky's Gas Station in Do~na Ana. A man who had been loitering in front of the convenience store overnight, suddenly attacks a mother with three children - seemingly without provocation - before punching several employees and patrons who tried to intervene. The man's rampage continues until a 16-year-old high school wrestling champ comes into the store and pins the suspect, holding him down until authorities arrive. Daniel Beltran Arroyo, 21, of Phoenix, is eventually arrested and charged with one count of kidnapping, four counts of battery, two counts of assault and two counts of child abuse. He's being held without bond at the Do~na Ana County Detention Center.

Joe Biden sexually assaulted Tara Reade

Democratic Party presidential candidate Joe Biden has been accused of sexual assault by one of his former Senate staff assistants. According to the alleged victim, Biden forcibly penetrated her against her will with his fingers in Washington, D.C. in 1993. "I remember the assault itself, and then the aftermath, and the reverberating effects of that," Tara Reade said during an appearance on Rising with Krystal and Saagar on Hill TV Thursday. Reade said that "there are spots" where her she doesn't remember certain aspects of the alleged incident because she has "worked so hard not to remember it anymore." A year ago, Reade-who supported the campaigns of Sens. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) and Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.)-attempted to come forward with stories of sexual harassment in Biden's offices. As detailed in an Intercept piece, she reached out to Time's Up, a project of the National Women's Law Center that provides support to alleged #MeToo victims. Time's Up declined to assist Reade; the organization's official excuse was that a feud with a national political candidate could jeopardize their status as a 501(c)(3) non-partisan group. But as The Intercept also notes: The public relations firm that works on behalf of the Time's Up Legal Defense Fund is SKDKnickerbocker, whose managing director, Anita Dunn, is the top adviser to Biden's presidential campaign. A spokesperson for Biden declined to comment. The SKDK spokesperson assigned to Time's Up referred questions back to the NWLC.

'I messed up': Body cam footage released in CT trooper's DUI arrest

A Connecticut State Police trooper admitted he "messed up" shortly before fellow troopers took him into custody on a DUI charge last week, according to body camera footage and audio released Thursday. It was around 12:50 a.m. on Monday, March 16 when Troop A in Southbury got a 911 call about a state police cruiser parked on the right shoulder of I-84 west in Waterbury. The 911 caller said the vehicle had its hazard lights on and that the driver was either "asleep or unresponsive," according to the 911 recording, released by state police on Thursday. In that cruiser was Trooper Shaquille Williams. Assigned to the patrol division out of Troop I in Bethany, Williams had been with state police for two years. While troopers are allowed to use their assigned vehicles while off duty under the police union contract, state policy prohibits state police from having any amount of alcohol while driving their department vehicle. The troopers can be seen on body camera footage approaching Williams' cruiser, before one of them - identified verbally as a sergeant by the other troopers - knocked on the driver's side window. The troopers have a brief conversation with Williams before the sergeant told Williams that he had to take field sobriety tests "based on everything." Williams was off duty at the time of the incident.

Belarus has yet to implement any severe measures to curb the spread of coronavirus, although it has recorded 81 coronavirus cases. So parents are forced to protect their children themselves, some using masks. The lack of information and the government's position, in contrast to that of neighbouring counties, has divided Belarusian society into two camps: those who back the government's hands-off stance and those more skeptical, believing the true number of victims to be far higher. COVID-19 spreading Cancellations

03-25-2020, WEDS, 9pm - The Houston Independent School District and the Houston Food Bank are rescheduling Food distribution sites for set events to ensure the safety of families and volunteers. Curbside pickup service will continue to be available at all 39 food distribution sites districtwide next week to help promote personal health and social distancing. Families who do not have transportation and must walk to the site can continue to stand in line but will be required to stand six feet apart from each other. HISD Police and staff volunteers will be on site to enforce these measures and help with crowd control. Meal distribution sites are open to all families. Sites have been strategically located throughout the district to ensure all families have access. Distribution will take place outside in the parking lot. The program will continue to be evaluated moving forward and extended, as needed. Specific dates and times are listed below.

Driver leads police on high-speed chase, rams trooper's cruiser before fiery crash

A dramatic chase through multiple counties was caught on Ohio State Highway Patrol dash camera video. According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, the driver led troopers on a high-speed chase through Ashland and Richland counties on Sunday afternoon. Troopers tried to stop the 54-year-old Parma man, who will not be identified until he has been criminally charged, after multiple drivers witnessed and reported the suspect driving recklessly along I-71. Video from the Ohio State Highway Patrol shows the man, who was allegedly impaired by drugs or alcohol at the time, weaving his pickup truck across the roadway, slowing to a stop, and then speeding away again on multiple occasions. The OSHP says the man intentionally rammed his truck into a trooper's cruiser - 11:40 mark - before eventually clipping a bridge pillar in Richland County. Investigators say the driver was hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries after being rescued by troopers at the scene. The Richland County Prosecutor's Office is reviewing and case and will determine what charges will be presented.

Weaving truck forced to stop by UHP after driver suffers medical problem

A Utah Highway Patrol trooper bumped a runaway pickup truck to a stop Wednesday after the driver suffered a medical problem. At 8:22 a.m., the trooper saw the southbound truck swerve into the left-lane barrier on Interstate 15 in Kaysville, the UHP said in a press release. Dash-cam video showed the truck weaved and bounced into the barrier a few more times, losing a tire but accelerating again. The driver failed to pull over, but the trooper eventually bumped the truck's rear fender and the pickup stopped, facing the barrier. Troopers said Kaysville Fire Department and Davis County sheriff's paramedics determined the driver was experiencing a medical episode. Both the pickup and the UHP cruiser were damaged, the release said.

Andrew Cuomo came to a fork in the road in 2015. He could have chosen to buy more ventilators. Instead, he asked his health commissioner, Howard Zucker to assemble a task force and draft rules for rationing the ventilators they already had. Cuomo could have purchased the additional 16,000 needed ventilators for $36,000 apiece or a total of $576 million in 2015. It's a lot of money but less than the $750 million he threw away on a boondoggle "Buffalo Billion" solar panel factory. When it comes to state budget priorities, spending half a percent of the budget on ventilators is a no brainer. The task force claimed there was no point in buying ventilators because there's also a shortage of doctors and nurses trained to use them. Five years ago, that problem could have been fixed, too. Even now, the National Disaster Medical System can send staff to hot spots like New York... . So Andrew Cuomo is blasting FEMA today for not providing something he choose not to order and prepare for in 2015. That's a little bit unfair and hypocritical, no? Video released of SJHS altercation between student, adult

The surveillance video of the Feb. 20 altercation between a Coloma man and a St. Joseph High School senior at the high school shows that the physical part of the confrontation lasted a little over a minute. The video can be viewed on The Herald-Palladium's Facebook page and website. The video and a two-page report done by school administrators was obtained from St. Joseph Public Schools through a Freedom of Information Act request. A copy of the 10-page police report was obtained from the Berrien County Prosecutor's Office through a separate FOIA request. The preliminary hearing for Chris Glisson, the man accused of attacking 18-year-old Steve Meridy Jr., was adjourned until further notice last week because of restrictions ordered by the Michigan Supreme Court due to COVID-19. Glisson, 51, is out on bond. The former Boys & Girls Club employee is charged with assault with intent to do great bodily harm, a 10-year felony. On March 13, he declined a plea offer of aggravated assault, a one-year misdemeanor. The 3:03 minute video begins with Glisson and Meridy talking in the high school's student center, with a woman watching and two other people blurred out. At the 27-second mark, Glisson steps closer to Meridy and appears to put his hands up to the student's neck. They break free briefly before it appears at the 35-second mark that Glisson puts his hands up to Meridy's neck and shoves him onto a table. The two end up standing face-to-face, holding each other's hands to their sides. The school's public safety officer arrives at 1:24 mark and they break apart at 1:37 mark. The rest of the video shows them talking, with Meridy calling someone on his cell phone, before the three walk up the steps. The police report shows that Meridy and Glisson's daughter, who also attends St. Joseph High School, had dated and recently broke up. In the report, Meridy said they were talking because Glisson's daughter wanted him to smooth things over with her dad. He said that when Glisson had his hands around his throat, his circulation was cut off and he couldn't breath. He said Glisson started squeezing his neck even harder after pinning him to the table. He told the officer that he thought Glisson's intent was to kill him. Once they stood back up, Meridy said in the report that Glisson started praying. Meridy told police that his back and neck hurt, along with one of his legs, which he had previously injured. He said he had trouble swallowing for two days after the incident. During the week after the incident, Meridy reported to police that he had three nose bleeds, high blood pressure and a lot of anxiety. The interview with Glisson was blacked out in the copy of the police report given to The HP. Much of the two-page report from the school district is also redacted. It quotes Glisson as saying he was trying to control Meridy and not hurt him. The incident happened around 3:30 p.m. Glisson was the site coordinator for the Boys & Girls Club at the high school. He was fired shortly after the incident.

Police Officer Violates Man's Rights

Centralia Police Dept has provided footage from their body-worn cameras after an officer violates a man's rights by depriving him of his freedom for committing no crime. A young woman and her father stopped when they saw a man lying on the ground near the intersection of a street and railroad tracks. When the two stopped to check on the man who was on the ground, he advised the good Samaritans that he had been hit by a car. The young woman called 911 to report it. This video shows Patrol Officer Billy White, badge #429, put handcuffs on a man who chose not to provide his name when asked. This video shows that out of three Centralia, IL, police officers, only one actually cared to investigate the report of the man being hit by a car. The video shows Sgt Rizzo conducting an investigation of a possible hit-and-run as Patrol Officer Billy White deprives another man of his freedom. Sgt Rizzo tries to determine if the claim of the man on the ground, that he had been hit by a car, is true.
