The Phoenix Police department released body-worn and cell phone footage from an officer-involved shooting that happened in our community on June 14, 2020 on Union Hills & 43rd Ave An Officer responded to a 911 call regarding a man with a knife threatening people at a grocery store. The officer tried to get the man to drop the knife, but after negotiating with him, he charged at the officer and she fired her weapon.

The newly available police video, which also includes text descriptions of the incident and the conversation from the 911 call that led to the shooting, marks the first time the Austin Police Department has released footage of a police shooting before the Travis County district attorney has taken or has declined to take the officer's case before a grand jury. The night of April 24, around 6:30 p.m., an unidentified 911 caller summoned police to the complex, saying people in a car were either using or making drugs. The newly released audio of the 911 call reveals that the caller also said a man had a gun to a woman's head.

Island Fails to Yield Right-Of-Way and Collides With Freighter
A large landmass has failed to yield the right-of-way to a freighter, carelessly colliding with the vessel. The bulker was in ballast and it is reported that the entire cargo became wet. The Panama-flagged bulker MV Wakashio was underway from China to Brazil when it ran aground Saturday night off Pointe d'esny on Mauritius' south-eastern coast during a voyage from China to Brazil. At 203,130 deadweight tonnes, the 300-meter MV Wakashio is classified as a large capesize bulk carrier. Reports say the local Coast Guard attempted to contact the ship before it ran aground. Bodycam Shows K9 Bite Incident That Left Man In Coma
A special prosecutor and Indiana State Police are still investigating an incident between a black man and police officers in Lafayette that left the man in a coma for six days back in May. Richard Bailey, Jr. is claiming the three officers pulled him over and arrested him because of his race as they were responding to a call about a domestic disturbance. Now Lafayette Police Chief Patrick Flannelly said his department is releasing 911 audio and body camera footage of the incident. "It was reported that a man had battered multiple people and even thrown a woman across a room," Flannelly said of the incident in a YouTube video. "Upon arrival to the area engaged in force to arrest the suspect ... as he was attempting to flee the area." Body camera footage shows a K-9 officer being used to subdue Bailey. The dog got ahold of Bailey's neck and dragged him to the ground. The bite caused injuries that put Bailey in the hospital and into a coma. Flannelly said the department is releasing all the footage of the incident to dispel misinformation being spread about it. "We have prepared this video in response to public concern and media representation that do not include all the facts and circumstances," he said. "We have chosen to release the relevant body-worn camera footage and audio files, which captured the information being shared with officers in real-time from our 911 center."

Sacramento Police release video from officer-involved shooting near Sac State
Sacramento Police released body camera footage Monday of officers fatally shooting a 22-year-old man last week at an apartment complex near Sacramento State. The video shows a tense confrontation between police and Jeremy Southern on July 21. Southern is seen pointing a gun at officers for 90 seconds. Officers gave 28 commands for him to drop the gun before firing at Southern twice. The cell phone video shows Southern being hit in the abdomen and falling to the ground. The gun falls a few feet in front of him to his right. The woman who had been walking with Southern lays down on the ground after officers command her to get down. She continues to cry and scream and Southern rolls over on his right side. As Southern begins to crawl back toward the gun, the woman screams for him to stay down. Southern was transported by the Sacramento Fire Department to a local area hospital where he later died of his wounds, the Sacramento Police Department said.

"A further statement will be provided in the coming days." Green, from Bethnal Green in east London, formed Fleetwood Mac with drummer Mick Fleetwood in 1967. They came together after Green's stint filling in for Eric Clapton in John Mayall's Bluesbreakers. Green and Fleetwood then convinced John McVie to join the band as bass guitarist, in part by naming the band Fleetwood Mac. He wrote the instantly recognisable instrumental track Albatross, which remains the band's only number one hit, plus two other early hits, Black Magic Woman and Oh Well. And it was under Green's direction that they produced their first three albums. The band's debut album was released in 1968. Simply called Fleetwood Mac, but also known as Peter Green's Fleetwood Mac, it gained widespread acclaim and reached number four in the charts. Obituary: From humble beginnings to Blues fame Green left the band after a last performance in 1970 as he struggled with his mental health. He was eventually diagnosed with schizophrenia and spent time in hospital in the mid-70s. He married Jane Samuels in January 1978. They divorced in 1979 and share a daughter. Popular Science chooses to allow impossible theory and wild conjecture to fill these gaps in knowledge rather than admit there is so much that is unknown. Theories are a great thing and have their place, but popular science speaks of these things as settled and proven science. Don't be a sucker and settle for junk science. Read past the headlines, use your common sense. The Earth is round. Popular science needs to be put in it's place and Real Science should be placed above all where it belongs.

[MIRRORED] The FBI has arrested three Chinese visa-holders in the U.S. for their secret connection to the Chinese military. A fourth remains on the loose, holed up at a Chinese consulate in California. Oh Jung-hee reports. The U.S. has arrested three Chinese nationals for visa fraud, while a fourth is believed to be under protection at a Chinese consulate. On Thursday, the U.S. Justice Department said... the FBI interviewed members of the Chinese People's Liberation Army in over 25 cities across the U.S. and found they've been "hid[ing] their true affiliation to take advantage of the United States and the American people." The U.S. believes the four are secret members of the Chinese military, posing as researchers in the U.S. The department says the fourth remains a fugitive, staying at China's consulate in San Francisco. According to U.S. court filings, she is Tang Juan, who was issued a non-immigrant visa last fall as a biology researcher. The FBI later found photos of her in Chinese military uniform and questioned her, but she denied connections to the Chinese military and the Communist Party. The FBI alleges she then headed to the Chinese consulate in San Francisco and is still there. U.S. law enforcement cannot enter a foreign embassy or consulate unless invited. The latest arrests come at a time when tensions have escalated between the U.S. and China, especially as Washington increases scrutiny on economic espionage by Chinese citizens working in the U.S. In the court filings, U.S. attorneys said China is sending military scientists to the U.S. "with false covers about their true employment" to copy and steal information from American institutions. In custody death of Eric Scott Denton
On July 10, 2019, Denton surrendered himself to the custody of the OCSD Intake Release Center. At 8:15 p.m., the attending Registered Nurse (RN) conducted a medical screening of Denton as part of the initial booking process. During the screening interview, Denton denied having any medical conditions, taking any medications, and denied any drug use. On July 11, 2019, Denton completed an Inmate Health Message Slip. He requested to see a nurse and indicated he was "very sick from detox." Denton told John Doe 2 he was withdrawing from heroin, but had not reported his condition to medical staff. On Saturday, July 13, 2019, Denton denied having any medical conditions or taking any medications. Denton was specifically asked if he used any street drugs, or if he was currently experiencing chills, fever, or body ache. Denton replied "No." Denton showed no signs of distress and had no complaints. Denton was cleared to work within the jail. On Sunday, July 14, 2019 the attending RN saw Denton. During this examination, Denton was sweating and having difficulty sitting; his pupils were dilated, he was experiencing mild discomfort, nasal stiffness, unusually moist eyes, and stomach cramps. Denton said he last used heroin on July 10, 2019. Denton consented to a urine test; returned positive for amphetamines, cannabis, methamphetamine, and opiates. Denton was cleared for regular housing and regular diet. He was prescribed Tylenol 650 mg, Zofran 4 mg, Benadryl 25 mg, and Imodium 2 mg, and instructed to have his vitals taken 5 times a day. During dinner, Denton told John Doe 2 he had been feeling nauseous and did not care to eat. At 7:05 a.m., Denton left his bunk and went to the medical health office. The attending RN checked Denton's vitals and noticed that Denton had an accelerated resting heart rate, nausea, and loose stool. At 7:20 a.m., Denton returned to his bunk. Denton covered himself with a blanket and covered his face with a towel. At approximately 8:20 a.m., Denton rolled over onto his stomach then moved his right leg over and off the bunk. Denton appeared to be laboring or struggling. John Doe 3, who was in the bunk above Denton, he saw that Denton was having a seizure. At 8:22 a.m., Deputy John Moreno was flagged down by inmates. Deputy Moreno saw Denton was gasping for air and experiencing labored breathing. Denton was unresponsive and possibly hallucinating. Deputies saw saliva protruding from Denton's mouth, but noticed Denton was still breathing. At 8:25 a.m., Deputies noticed he was no longer breathing and found no pulse. The deputies moved Denton from the lower bunk to the floor to evaluate his condition and to perform CPR. At 8:28 a.m., Deputy Mercado began chest compressions and Deputy Moreno administered several rounds of Narcan through Denton's nostrils. Deputy Hendee placed the defibrillator pads on Denton and used the AED in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions. The AED went through several cycles, and two shocks were administered. One of the RNs found no pulse on Denton; she was unsuccessful in initiating an IV. A second RN began to provide oxygen to Denton via a bag valve mask. Deputy Vincent Johnson arrived and began to look for anything suspicious or illegal adjacent to Denton's bunk but found none. At 8:37 a.m., Deputies and medical staff performing CPR on Denton. A Paramedic assessed Denton and found he was not breathing and had no pulse. The Paramedic had the OCSD deputies continue chest compressions and requested that another OFD Paramedic use a supraglottic device to establish an airway. The paramedics removed the AED the jail staff had applied to Denton, and replaced it with a cardiac monitor. The paramedics determined that Denton had no pulse, not breathing, and was suffering ventricular fibrillation. An automatic CPR machine was placed on Denton to continue CPR chest compressions. The paramedics defibrillated Denton 3 times and administered 3 doses of epinephrine. At 9:01 a.m., Denton arrived at UCIMC. Denton was wearing an automatic cardiac compression machine, which was performing CPR as he arrived at the hospital. The attending physician removed the CPR device and began the Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support Protocol, which consisted of CPR, AED, and lifesaving medications such as Esmerol, Narcan, and Epinephrine. The attending physician also placed an endotracheal tube inside Denton's trachea. Denton was shocked numerous times with the AED along with manual shock paddles with no change in his condition or signs of life. At 9:21 a.m., physician pronounced Denton deceased.

Terrifying locust plague hits northern Argentina
The north of the Argentine province of Santa Fe is being invaded by a plague of locusts, coming from Paraguay, and the provinces of Formosa and Chaco, particularly in many productions of cassava, corn, and sugar cane. The situation is being monitored by specialists from the National Service for Agrifood Health and Quality (Senasa for its Spanish acronym). They say that the climatic conditions favor the displacement of the plague in the south of Santa Fe. "Currently Senasa teams are going through what is the 28th parallel to try to detect the presence of the plague, as well as sensitizing the entire area with residents and producers to give the alert in case of detecting it," said H'ector Medina, agricultural engineer, and coordinator of the Senasa Lobster and Turtle Program. He explained that a plague of these characteristics "in a square kilometer counts up to 40 million insects. A sleeve of a square kilometer can eat the same as 35,000 people, or about 2,000 cows per day. They mainly affect pastures and pastures," he said. Based on this situation, another team will be added to the surveillance to see if the precise location of the plague can finally be determined, for which reason the agency has asked all producers in the north center of the province of Santa Fe to stay alert and notify the specialists in case of a sighting. SEATTLE POLICE ATTACKED WITH EXPLOSIVES AND PROJECTILES BY VIOLENT PROTESTERS
Seattle police released body camera footage Tuesday revealing how protesters threw projectiles, including bottles, traffic cones and fireworks, at officers in front of the West Precinct over the weekend. As a result, 12 officers were injured. "We are relating this video in an attempt to be transparent and will continue to released videos of significant incidents," the Seattle Police Department said. What started out as a peaceful protest Sunday against police brutality, quickly turned violent in the afternoon, as a group of demonstrators carrying baseball bats began breaking windows and tagging buildings with paint, police said in a statement. The group then made their way to the West Precinct, where some individuals attempted to break into the building. Body camera footage shows one protester using a black umbrella to allegedly obstruct the view on surveillance cameras, police said. "Officers moved in to escort the person away from the doors and were immediately assaulted," the department said. Several officers on bikes positioned themselves outside the precinct as protesters hurled rocks and bottles at them. Some protesters also threw "large mortar-type fireworks" at officers "from a close range," which exploded on the concrete in small, fiery bursts, kicking up smoke and injuring officers who were nearby. At least two officers reportedly suffered from lacerations and abrasion injuries from the blasts. while a third officer sustained burns to his neck area and received treatment from the Seattle Fire Department before he was later transported to the hospital. Police lobbed blast balls and pepper spray at throngs of demonstrators in return. Officers arrested two individuals, one for assault and the other for theft, police said. Protesters went on to damage and loot local businesses in downtown Seattle, setting a small fire inside one of the shops. Demonstrators also attacked the East Precinct, which has been the focal point over the past few months for protesters calling to defund the police, even forcing its brief closure in June due to frayed relations between the community and police. A large, mortar-type firework was thrown inside the lobby of the precinct, causing a small fire, but no one was injured, police said. "According to the Incident Commander, individuals within this group appeared to be very organized and this appeared to be a very concerted effort at property damage of certain businesses and government facilities," the Seattle Police Department said in a statement.

Suspect killed in officer-involved shooting in Tigerland was wanted for violent felony
Officials with the Baton Rouge Police Department (BRPD) have released new details about a fatal officer-involved shooting that happened Monday, July 20. BRPD Chief Murphy Paul said during a news conference Monday that officers responded to an apartment complex in the 4700 block of Tigerland Avenue around 1:35 a.m. after receiving a tip about a wanted suspect. Authorities with the East Baton Rouge Parish Coroner's Office have released the identity of the suspect shot and killed. A spokesperson for the coroner's office identified the suspect as Vincent Harris, 51. A Crime Stoppers Facebook post from May 7 said Harris was wanted on charges of attempted second-degree murder, aggravated second-degree battery, second-degree kidnapping, and domestic abuse battery. The police chief said officers created a perimeter around the complex. Once the officers confirmed the suspect was hiding inside one of the units, Paul said they attempted to make contact with the suspect. During the incident, the suspect appeared from a back room of the apartment and the officers retreated from the residence while giving loud verbal commands, according to Paul. Paul said the suspect armed himself with a weapon and confronted officers at the entrance to the apartment. When the suspect pointed the weapon at the officers, they fired at and struck him, Paul said. Paul said the suspect died after being shot. No human officers were injured in the shooting, but a K-9 officer was injured, according to Paul. The police chief said he would not be identifying the suspect at this time, as family members were still being notified of his death. Paul also said he would not be identifying the four officers involved in the shooting, but did say they had been placed on administrative leave per department policy. Johnny Dunham, the executive director of Greater Baton Rouge Crime Stoppers, said his organization had received a tip about the suspect being at the same location on Saturday, July 18. Dunham said officers went to the apartment complex, but did not locate the suspect Saturday. The case remains under investigation. Paul said he met with the family of the suspect and showed them some of the officers' body cam footage from the incident. The family gave Paul permission to release a portion of the body cam footage "for the sake of transparency and for the best interest in public safety in the City of Baton Rouge." Paul said the footage would not be released Monday, but at an unspecified later date.

Detectives from the Los Angeles Police Department's Central Traffic Division are investigating a hit and run traffic collision that resulted in the death of 49-year-old man. On Thursday, July 16, 2020, around 10:25 p.m., a hit and run traffic collision occurred on Vernon Avenue just east of Wall Street. The collision involved a pedestrian who was in the No. 1 lane of westbound Vernon Avenue and was struck by a light-colored SUV. The pedestrian was launched into the eastbound No. 1 lane of Vernon Avenue and then struck by another vehicle described as a light colored 2011-2015 Dodge Charger. Both drivers of the vehicles failed to stop, identify themselves, or render aid. Los Angeles City Fire Department paramedics responded and transported the victim to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead. His identity is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.

Three Gorges Dam under enormous stress as heavy rain slams China
If the Three Gorges Dam fails, 400 million Chinese are downstream close to the embankments. This would destroy crops, factories, homes and the big loss would bet the 22.5 GW the dam produces in electricity. This is the equivalent of 22 average nuclear plants. Power would be lost in most areas. When the dam was built, they did not anchor the bottom of the dam to the bedrock (common practice) to prevent failure. Poor concrete, steel and other materials were used to save money so the pockets of the Party members could be filled. When the dam opened they said it would endure a 10,000 year flood event, soon after it was lowered to 1,000 years then recently 100 years, now they are just hoping it will not fail in the coming days.

Officers Rescue Distraught Man From Freeway Overpass In Pacoima
A distraught man threatening to jump from a freeway overpass was rescued by police officers, late Friday night. Authorities responded to reports of pedestrian on the eastbound SR-118 Freeway over San Fernando Road in the Pacoima area around 11:53 PM. Units arriving on scene located a distraught man drinking from a bottle of alcohol and threatening to jump. Officers stopped traffic on the freeway and attempted to talk to the man who swung his legs over the overpass. After several minutes officers were able to distract the man and pull him to safety. Firefighter paramedics transported the man to an area hospital for evaluation.

Hedge funds are a very complicated business and a billion and a half to box in the VP of the United States and stand this failing fool up as the next president....petty cash to the Chinese who are well known for their bribery.
