Hong Kong may prove to be a turning point for China's CCP and Xi Jinping. All dictators face a challenge to their unlimited authority at some point. Xi Jinping is aware that behind him is a slippery slope. He can ill-afford to step back lest he loses face and credibility to the rebels in Hong Kong. The protesters of today are similar to the brave protesters at Tiananmen Square some 30 years ago.
