Russia: 'Rokot' carrier rocket successfully launches from Plesetsk Cosmodrome

Russia's 'Rokot' carrier rocket carried out a successful launch from the Plesetsk Cosmodrome in the northwest Arkhangelsk Region on Saturday, carrying a military spacecraft into orbit. As the Russian Defence Ministry reports, the launch was performed by a combat unit of the Russian Aerospace Forces from Plesetsk Cosmodrome at 17.00 MSK (14.00 GMT). The first launch of the "Rokot" took place from Plesetsk Cosmodrome on May 16, 2000.
