This happened as a Jalahalli traffic police sub-inspector and another constable were checking vehicles. The two men on the bike, now identified as students, were not wearing helmets and did not stop for the checking. While the students themselves have not approached the police to file a complaint against the constable, the erring officer has now been suspended.
