Australian Tax Office continues to warn people about a scam that's apparently been netting millions for some years now. I only became aware of this yesterday, via a notice in my local petrol station, and was shocked that people could be so stupid as to believe this scam. On searching the net, I found that the ATO has been continually warning about it for years. A Sept 2017 headline reads "ATO fake calls: The scam that keeps on giving" and talks about millions netted that year by the scammers.
