Another high ranking commander of the Free Syrian Army (FSA) has defected to the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) after recent negotiations with the government. Munqez Al-Dali, who was the military commander of the FSA in Rastan City and head of the rebel supreme court, was photographed this week posing in front of a picture of Syrian President Bashar Al-Assad and the two flags of Syria and Russia. Dali was also photographed in Syrian Arab Army combat fatigues, while sitting inside the office. The former FSA commander has been accused by the opposition factions of being a government spy that provided important information to the Syrian Arab Army.

WWI: Aftermath by Siegfried Sassoon (read by Tom O'Bedlam)
Aftermath by Siegfried Sassoon Have you forgotten yet? ... For the world's events have rumbled on since those gagged days, Like traffic checked while at the crossing of city-ways: And the haunted gap in your mind has filled with thoughts that flow Like clouds in the lit heaven of life; and you're a man reprieved to go, Taking your peaceful share of Time, with joy to spare. But the past is just the same - and War's a bloody game ... Have you forgotten yet? ... Look down, and swear by the slain of the War that you'll never forget. Do you remember the dark months you held the sector at Mametz - The nights you watched and wired and dug and piled sandbags on parapets? Do you remember the rats; and the stench of corpses rotting in front of the front-line trench - And dawn coming, dirty-white, and chill with a hopeless rain? Do you ever stop and ask, "Is it all going to happen again?" Do you remember the hour of din before the attack - And the anger, the blind compassion that seized and shook you As you peered at the doomed and haggard faces of your men? Do you remember the stretcher-cases lurching back With dying eyes and lolling heads - those ashen-grey Masks of the lads who once were keen and kind and gay? Have you forgotten yet? ... Look up, and swear by the green of the spring that you'll never forget.

Turkish Opposition Presidential Hopeful Wants to Restore Relations With Syria
Presidential candidate for Turkey's opposition Republican People's Party (CHP) Muharrem Ince told Sputnik on Wednesday that he would restore diplomatic relations with Syria if he won the upcoming election, expressing hope that Ankara would join Damascus and its ally Moscow in resolving the Syrian crisis. "The commitment to a friendly, good neighborly policy toward Russia is natural to Turkish foreign policy, and negative consequences emerge if it is abandoned. We can see it, particularly in Syria... Together with Russia, we can solve the Syrian crisis and other linked problems faster and easier. Russia and Turkey are in favor of Syria's territorial integrity. When I become president, I will send an ambassador to Damascus immediately," Ince said.

Edinburgh man spotted taking ferret for a walk on a lead
A man has been filmed taking a ferret for a walk on a lead on a street in Edinburgh. The video, captured by Calvin Charlton, was shot yesterday (May 30), and shows the man with a ferret on the lead. He picks the animal up and puts him in his bag after taking it for a walk. "I was driving to pick my partner up from a carer shift in the Stockbridge area when I was diverted (due to road closures) onto a different route. When driving down Pleasance in Edinburgh I spotted a man with a ferret on the lead - which I saw as too good an opportunity to miss for my social media platforms. I pulled up down the road, turned the engine off and stuck the hazards on and began filming. I'd never seen anything like it", writes the filmer.

UN UPDATE: 'a kilo of flour for sex'.
While the Organization of Hypocrisy and World Slavery (UN) is working on concealment, the scope of the phenomenon of sexual exploitation for food has been exposed at more than 40 UN organizations. The United Nations knew of charity workers offering refugees food in exchange for sexual favours for more than a decade, it has been revealed. An 84-page on 'food-for-sex' practices in West African refugee camps was compiled and handed over to the UN in 2002, but was never published. It claims that workers at more than 40 aid organisations, of which 15 are major international charities including Save the Children and M'edecins Sans Fronti`eres, sexually exploited young refugee. The 2002 research document allege that 'food, oil, access to education and plastic sheeting for shelters' were exchanged for sex, according to The Times. The newspaper, which has been given access to the , reveal that families living in refugee camps in Guinea, Sierra Leone and Liberia allegedly offered charity workers their teenage daughter for sex 'to make ends meet'. According to The Sun, charity workers in a camp in Guinea would tell women 'a kilo of flour for sex'. 'In this community no one can get corn soy blend [a fortified pre-cooked flour] without having sex first.' Despite the resulting in a list of 67 charity workers accused of sexually exploiting refugee children begin handed over to senior officials at United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), none were prosecuted. The Times that ten people were dismissed, but the findings remained confidential. A Save the Children spokesperson said the organisation had been 'shocked' to uncover sexual abuse by aid workers in the early noughties. "At the time Save the Children took immediate action against three individuals. We have since made sweeping changes. Every member of staff is now given mandatory child safeguarding training within a week of joining the organisation. We have established a dedicated global safeguarding team and 445 focal points for reporting concerns. The spokesperson added that Save the Children has 'a culture of zero tolerance for misconduct of any kind'. It comes after revelations that Oxfam covered up that several of its senior aid workers had been paying survivors of the devastating 2010 Haiti earthquake for sex. Three Oxfam employees were allowed to resign and four were sacked for gross misconduct after an internal investigation found some workers had used prostitutes in the war-torn region. Questions had been raised whether the women may have been underage, but this could not be ascertained. In early August 2011, it was reported a 'small number' of employees were being investigated over allegations of gross misconduct, however there was no mention of potential sexual crimes involving minors.

Who Fund The US Racists. And the dangers of it..
It has been just about a decade since Islamophobia exploded in this country. That was the moment that the World Trade Center and Pentagon were hit by al Qaeda terrorists. It existed prior to 9/11, but the losses that day and the general terror it inflicted upon this country made many, many Americans much more wary of Arabs and, fairly quickly, fearful of the religion the terrorists professed. The first sign that 9/11 would be exploited to advance various agendas came from Binyamin Netanyahu, who was quoted in the New York Times as saying the attacks would be good for Israel: Asked tonight [September 11, 2001] what the attack meant for relations between the United States and Israel, Benjamin Netanyahu, the former prime minister, replied, ''It's very good.'' Then he edited himself: ''Well, not very good, but it will generate immediate sympathy.'' He predicted that the attack would ''strengthen the bond between our two peoples, because we've experienced terror over so many decades, but the United States has now experienced a massive hemorrhaging of terror." Netanyahu subsequently reiterated his views about 9/11, quoted here in Haaretz. And, of course, ever since 9/11 the "pro-Israel" lobby has successfully used it to build support for right-wing Israeli policies in the United States. But the lobby isn't alone. It is just one of the components of an orchestrated and well-financed effort to make Americans fear and hate Muslims and Arabs. I have to admit, however, that until I read a published today by the Center for American Progress (CAP), I had no idea just how orchestrated and well-financed this movement was. The , "Fear Inc: The Roots of the Islamophobia Network in America," demonstrates that a small group of self-proclaimed experts (Frank Gaffney, David Yerushalmi, Daniel Pipes, Robert Spencer, and Steve Emerson) backed by a host of foundations and donors (many of which also fund the lobby) have put Islamophobia on the map. To put it simply, without these "experts," their donors, and Fox News (their media mouthpiece) you would never have heard that a Muslim community center (the "Ground Zero Mosque") was being constructed in New York City. And the center certainly would not have become a major news story. Nor would Republican (and even a few Democratic) candidates for president, Congress, and even village councils be called upon to condemn Islam and "Sharia Law" or face being labeled a supporter of terrorism. Nor would Newt Gingrich, Herman Cain and Rick Santorum have made hatred of American Muslims such an integral part of their campaigns. It all starts with the money. According to CAP: A small group of foundations and wealthy donors are the lifeblood of the Islamophobia network in America, providing critical funding to a clutch of right-wing think tanks that peddle hate and fear of Muslims and Islam-in the form of books, , websites, blogs, and carefully crafted talking points that anti-Islam grassroots organizations and some right-wing religious groups use as propaganda for their constituency. Some of these foundations and wealthy donors also provide direct funding to anti-Islam grassroots groups. According to our extensive analysis, here are the top seven contributors to promoting Islamophobia in our country: Donors Capital Fund Richard Mellon Scaife foundations Lynde and Harry Bradley Foundation Newton D. & Rochelle F. Becker foundations and charitable trust Russell Berrie Foundation Anchorage Charitable Fund and William Rosenwald Family Fund Fairbrook Foundation Most of these are new to me, although when I worked at AIPAC it was hard to miss the fact that some of them supported both AIPAC and its think tank, the Washington Institute for Near East Policy. The amazing thing about the CAP is that it exposes people who try very hard to cover their tracks. It is one thing to be known for supporting AIPAC, but it is quite another to be identified with the likes of Steve Emerson, Daniel Pipes, and Pam Geller, who appears in the CAP as only a second-tier hater but whose anti-Muslim vehemence is nothing short of disgusting. (She rationalised the killing of the kids in Norway by pointing out that the camp they attended was with Norway's Labor Party, which she claims is anti-Israel!) The hate funders are particularly determined to lay low since the slaughter of 76 people in Norway in July by a self-described Christian conservative named Anders Breivik, who said that he was influenced by Robert Spencer, Pam Geller, and David Horowitz (another prominent propagandist against Muslims and beneficiary of the various anti-Islam foundations). But CAP followed the money, went behind the innocent-sounding foundation names, and cross-referenced them. And now we have it: the hate network exposed. It's pretty ugly. Jews whose main concern is Israel align themselves with Christian rightists who don't like Jews. There are even a few Muslims who are dispatched by the network to tell audiences at churches and synagogues just how bad their people are. It's weird. But it's also very dangerous, as the Norway slaughter attests. The strangest thing about the killings is that they happened in Norway. Reading this , you have to wonder why it hasn't happened here. Yet.

Injured flying squirrel nursed back to health by Thai villagers
This little flying squirrel is being nursed back to health by Thai villagers after trying to fly - but plummeting to the ground. The creature was taking its first steps around the trees in Krabi, on southern Thailand's west coast, but couldn't get the hang of using its wings. He fell to the ground and injured his legs but nine-year-old villager, Pim Jantanipa, who had been watching the squirrels in the litter picked him up yesterday (May 30). The girl is now keeping the squirrel, nicknamed Fly, in a cage while she nurses him back to health before releasing him back into the wild. She said: ''There were four other small squirrels playing in the tree. I think they were his brothers and sisters. ''They were jumping around but this squirrel fell down. He looked like he was hurt so I picked him up and took him home. He wasn't strong so we have given him water to drink and some fruit.''

Lavrov invites North Korea leader to Russia as diplomacy intensifies
Amid a sudden frenzy of international diplomatic activity surrounding North Korea, Russia has invited leader Kim Jong Un to visit the country. Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov issued the invitation during a visit to Pyongyang on Thursday, ahead of a possible historic summit between the North Korean leader and US President Donald Trump in June. Lavrov passed on the good wishes of Russian President Vladimir Putin to Kim in front of the TV cameras. "Come to Russia. We would be very happy to see you," the Russian foreign minister said. Russia has appeared to be on the sidelines of recent developments, with much attention focused on the planned US-North Korean summit, especially after the doubt cast as to whether or not it will happen in the wake of recent comments by Trump. Sergei Lavrov, who also met his North Korean counterpart Ri Yong Ho, said Moscow hoped all sides would take a delicate approach to possible forthcoming talks on a nuclear settlement. Russian agencies said it was Lavrov's first visit to North Korea since 2009. In the United States, Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and senior North Korean official Kim Yong Chol enter a second day of meetings in New York on Thursday. They are trying to overcome differences over nuclear weapons to pave the way for a summit. Washington wants Pyongyang to abandon its nuclear weapons programme amid that it is close to having the capacity to launch a nuclear missile that could reach the US west coast. North Korea argues it needs nuclear weapons for its security.

Signs have been popping up around Italy in reaction to comments by a German EU commissioner saying 'the reaction of financial markets would give Italian voters a signal not to vote for populists.' Budget Commissioner G"unther Oettinger has apologised but his comments angered many Italians. Italy has been in political turmoil for several months. Humble super-hero: meet France's real-life Spiderman
His life has been turned upside down. Just last week, Mamoudou Gassama was an undocumented Malian migrant living on the outskirts of Paris. That was before he became known as France's real-life "Spiderman" for scaling a building to rescue a little boy dangling from a balcony. Gassama has since met with the French president and been offered both French residency and the prospect of a job at Paris' fire brigade. He sat down with Euronews' correspondent Anelise Borges, who says he's a rather shy and humble young man. He told her he wasn't scared while climbing the building to reach the four-year-old boy, who was unsupervised and hanging precariously from a fourth-storey balcony. It was only moments later as a crowd of bystanders erupted into applause that Gassama fully realised what he'd done: "When I saved the child and we got into the apartment, that's when I started shaking." During the interview, Gassama also recounted some previous acts of bravery that did not make headlines: how he crossed the Mediterranean to reach Europe, first fleeing Mali through Burkina Faso, Niger and also Libya, where he said "they treat us like slaves." Gassama says the person he would like to meet now is Zinedine Zidane, France's football legend. "In fact, back in my village everyone used to call me Zidane," he said. Watch the full interview below as it aired on Good Morning Europe, Euronews' daily morning show anchored by Tesa Arcilla, live from our headquarters in Lyon.

Terrifying moment hospital ICU with 23 newborns catches fire
This is the moment an intensive care unit in India with 23 newborns caught fire in the dead of the night. But a nurse barges in in the nick of the time to avert a major tragedy. The heart-stopping incident occurred in Gwalior city in the central Indian state of Madhya Pradesh in the early hours of May 29. A phototherapy machine at the Sick New Born Care Unit (SNCU) in the District Government Hospital caught fire due to short circuit. The defective unit that started burning even had a child undergoing treatment on its stand. CCTV footage from the unit shows the machine catching fire and flames leaping high in a room with 23 babies. But luckily a nurse on duty - Renu Rajput - smelt the smoke and rushed in. She turned off the machine and checked on the baby on the machine. She then rushed out to turn off the main switch and returned to put out the flames with a fire extinguisher. Other staff at the hospital also joined her and the babies were quickly moved to safety. A doctor at the hospital said: "It's a miracle that the babies escaped unhurt. The blaze had slowed down a bit on its own by the time the nurse rushed in," he added. Requesting anonymity, he added that the wiring at the SNCU was faulty. "We have complained several times in writing to the hospital administration," he pointed out. Civil surgeon Dr Vikas Gupta acknowledged that the wiring was defective. +CLIENTS PLEASE NOTE: MUTE FROM SOURCE+

Ohio motorcyclist leads lost turtle off county road and back to safety
A motorcyclist cruising down a county road in central Ohio on May 23 made an unexpected pit stop to save a turtle that had parked itself in the middle of the lane. In the video, the motorcyclist is seen parking his vehicle and crossing to the other side, where the stranded turtle is. He attempts to pick up the turtle before finding a stick and using it to edge the creature back into the grass, away from the road. "The turtle still had a bit of fight left, biting and turning on my efforts, but eventually was overcome by a gentle flip into the ditch," the motorcyclist told Newsflare. "After returning the stick I got back on my bike and laughed to myself as I rode off to enjoy the rest of my ride."

Trade war looms as US set to impose tariffs on EU steel, aluminium
The US is expected to impose tariffs on European Union steel and aluminium imports on Thursday, setting the scene for a trade war. Sources say an announcement was planned for Thursday morning but could be delayed until after the markets close. It comes a day before an exemption to the planned tariffs is due to expire. The European Commission says it will retaliate with duties on U.S. exports, including denim jeans, drinks, and peanut butter. President Donald Trump imposed a 25 per cent tariff on steel imports and a 10 per cent tariff on aluminium in March, but granted temporary exemptions to the EU and five other countries. French Finance Minister Bruno Le Maire told U.S. Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross on Thursday that U.S. tariffs would be unjustified and dangerous for growth and free trade. "It's entirely up to U.S. authorities whether they want to enter into a trade conflict with their biggest partner, Europe," Le Maire told reporters after meeting Ross in Paris. Le Maire repeated that the EU would take "all necessary measures" to respond if the United States decided to impose tariffs.

'Karius should've come to me!' Argentine coach's unorthodox keeper drills revealed
A notoriously strict football coach in Argentina gives his players some unorthodox goalkeeping coaching - joking that Liverpool flop Lauris Karius should have visited him. Diego Svery wanted to be a professional but became a taxi driver after an ankle injury cut short his career in Buenos Aires and started coaching youngsters. He became known for his bizarre training methods - including previous videos of players firing balls over a burning fence which the keeper then has to save. Or hanging the keeper upside down from a crossbar with a hood over his face for him to practice catching the ball blindfolded. Svery, boss of Argentinian youth side Club Sportivo Dock Sud, developed his latest technique of rebounding a ball off an angled bench, which a goalie in motorbike helmet has to save after jumping down from a stool. Svery said: ''My goalkeeping training is ahead of its time. This latest exercise improves the keeper's awareness. Never expect the ball to stay in one place. If Karius had come to me for tips I'm sure he wouldn't have made those mistakes.''

Irish PM apologises over adoption scandal
The Irish Prime Minister has apologised to more than 100 people who were illegally adopted after their birth certificates were falsified. Leo Varadkar told the Irish parliament it was another ''dark chapter'' in Irish history that ''robbed'' children of their identity. The apology came after it emerged that 126 people were illegally registered by a Catholic adoption agency in the 1940s, '50s and '60s ...... and they still might not know they were adopted. It's the latest example of the once staunchly Catholic country coming to terms with aspects of its past ..... often involving the Catholic Church or church-run institutions. For years Irish society stigmatised unwed mothers, often forcing them to give up their newborns and work as free labour in church-run laundries . Such revelations have helped erode the Church's authority in recent years. Only last week Ireland voted to repeal legislation that prevented women from having abortions.

Video shows city employee throw down, kick man behind City Hall
Surveillance shows a city of San Antonio TV and producer throw down and kick a man during an attack near City Hall in late February. Carlos Berlanga, who has worked for the city since 2013, is seen on camera talking with the man before grabbing him by the throat, throwing him to the ground, holding him down, throwing him down a second time and then kicking him in the midsection. The Feb. 23 incident, which happened outside a row of city offices on the Plaza de Armas, lasted more than 20 seconds, according to security footage handed over by city officials following a request from the KSAT 12 Defenders earlier this year. Berlanga was later suspended for 10 days and ordered to go through an anger-management program. The victim, who KSAT is not naming, told a police dispatcher shortly after the incident that Berlanga attacked him after he cursed at the city employee and told him he did not need help retrieving his property from inside a city building that could only be accessed using a work badge.

Markets settle as Italy seeks end to political uncertainty
Market made a modest recovery as the fallout following the Italian election eased. The prospect of a return to the polls in July, which could be a seen as a referendum for or against the euro gave Europe's stock exchanges the jitters. The German stock market made a tentative recovery on Wednesday. The Dax rose by 0.16 per cent to 12,686.53 points. In the last two days it had lost about 2 percent due to the politically uncertain in Europe's third largest economy. Stocks fell in Asia on Wednesday after turbulent sessions in the U.S. Japan's Nikkei 225 index dropped 1.5 percent to 22,013.86 in the morning session while The Hang Seng in Hong Kong slipped 1.2 percent to 22,013.86. Robert Halver, Head of Market Research, at Baader Bank, said: "The market calmed down a little bit because everybody knows Italy is too big to fail, because it can't . Should Italy really attempt to leave the Euro (currency), the EU and the ECB (European Central Bank) will resist. You could say it is blackmail, Italy demands and the EU and ECB will pay up, they have to." The S&P 500 fell 1.2% and the Dow Jones ended 1.6% lower. The falls in the US were mirrored in Japan's Nikkei Index and The Hang Seng in Hong Kong. Italy searched for a last-minute exit from almost three months of political turmoil on Wednesday, with its biggest party looking to make a renewed attempt to form a coalition government with the right-wing League. The two anti-establishment parties, the 5-Star Movement and League, had abandoned plans to jointly take power at the weekend after the president blocked their proposed cabinet lineup. President Sergio Mattarella's veto of 81-year-old eurosceptic Paolo Savona as economy minister appeared to tip the country back towards repeat elections and triggered a dramatic speculative attack on Italian financial markets. The parties are now trying to find "a point of compromise on another name" for the economy ministry, said the source close to 5-Star, the single-biggest party in the new parliament. The sense that a resolution of the stalemate might be at hand came from Prime Minister-designate Carlo Cottarelli, who was tasked by the head of state this week to calm the turmoil and plan for repeat elections after the summer.

Another Example Of President Trump Turning Liberal World Leaders Upside Down
Here's what is happening in this world right now folks, a very powerful, and talented man named Donald Trump, who operates on 'common sense' style living, which means "living by sound and prudent judgment based on a simple perception of the situation or facts". Does anyone dispute that "common sense" and "political correctness" do not, and are rarely if ever, aligned? That is a statement of fact btw, as those two things are not in alignment ever. So, while modern day 1st world countries have gone deep into this political correctness culture of living, governing, and acting in the last 35 years, President Trump does not participate in pc thinking, nor does he respect pc thinking, and rightly so, because pc thinking isn't about practical solutions. What you see happening everywhere now, as you can clearly read in the article below, is this 'common sense' approach of President Trump's, makes the PC approach of the likes of say Justine Trudeau, glaringly look like a complete ignorant fool, which never would have been so apparant without the comparison and proof of President Trump's accomplishments and successes, to show how out of alignment pc living/governing is. PC ways and thinking isn't about nor based on excelling or 'winning', so therefore if there's a 'common sense' player in a game full of PC players, he's going to always mop the floor with them and come out the easy and clear winner, and the PC idiots will always come out the losers. Before Trump, all the players participated in the 'PC rules', so it was a 'PC game'. Reminder, "governing life is not a game!". It swings and sways the lives of millions of people because it's 'governing', so all the millions of people in these libtard controled countries (mostly stupid blind libtards in canada), are forced to watch as Trump wins everything, and they lose every time. At first they blame it on 'bad luck', but not after it keeps happening over and over again, same results, Trump wins, they lose. That only goes on for so long before enough of the people want that losing of their's to end, and they also want to taste some of that 'winning' they see Trump's side always enjoying. That's when the people start to swing to "the right", which is exactly what is happening on this planet right now. Thus the difference between 'common sense' and political correctness. Libtards fully embrace and support political correctness, Trump & his supporters do not. Right there is your answer to who is going to 'win', and who is going to 'lose'. It's already happened too btw. Who's your president again? Who elected him and put him in there again? lol, that's right, hehe, we did. Thanks. Justine Trudeau, will only be a one term prime minister, he's a pathetic, arrogant, egotistical, fake, embarrassing entitled rich beta cuck that is actually spreading cultural cancer all over canada like raining asbestos, and he's also the twat who I personally will always remind canadians, that not only did they vote him in en-mass, but the vast majority of canadians bragged and boasted about him saying how much better he was than Trump, and many canadians still do, and are/were so proud. lmao, wow. Don't worry, I'll keep it alive for ages to come just to rub it in to the arrogant dummies who are and will lose, hehe. Thanks. Read this article, and see for yourself how the tide has turned from left to right, and this is in canada no less. This article would never have been written, and damned sure not published, prior to President Trump's "changing of the world" pc smashing election. Beta cuckc lessoned! Daily! tff! From the patriot Americans, you're welcome, as usual. Thanks. MAGA! https://ift.tt/2LGs0Wq

Once the AI is perfected it is expect the Chinese will transfer the technology to bigger drone that are capable of cruising 500-800 km using surface effect. Rumor has it future drones will travel on the surface for long distance but dive underwater when approaching target as a swamp. America's defensive laser or close weapon system will be useless when drones attack from 1-2 feet underwater.

Italy crisis: EU commissioner 'should have shut up'
The EU's in full damage control mode after remarks from Budget Commissioner Guenther Oettinger sparked an outcry in Rome and Brussels. He's now apologised for saying the financial markets would teach Italians not to vote for populists. "I fully respect the will of voters being left, right or centre in every country," he later stressed in a statement. Head to roll? Some in Italy's 5 Star party have called for Oettinger's head to roll after his controversial words. And, giving his assessment of it all to Euronews, the leader of the Greens in the Parliament didn't beat about the bush. "Well he should have shut up, you don't expect a Commissioner to confirm by his expression the worst suspicions of Eurosceptics," said Belgian MEP Philippe Lamberts. "He is running the budget negotiation which is a huge dossier and so I think it would be disruptive for the EU to resign, but this is really unfortunate. Oettinger has already had such slippages in the past and he should have learned from that." The EU's headache Aside from the Oettinger gaffe, Italy's political turmoil continues to have Brussels reaching for the headache pills. With uncertainty, the crisis is forcing Europe to face some uncomfortable truths about its internal workings. So how can Europe deal with populists on the right and left? Lamberts commented: "It's not can we, it's we have to, that's democracy...It won't be easy bridging the differences, but I much prefer to have these people within the circles of democracy than pushing them outside. That would be a big, big mistake." Europe is banking on eurozone reform to save it- the idea is that by fixing the flaws of the monetary union, it could see off the risk of populism breaking Europe.

Ukraine points finger at Moscow over journalist killing
Ukraine's prime minister is laying the blame on Moscow for the killing of Russian journalist Arkady Babchenko in Kiev. The victim was a prominent critic of Vladimir Putin and had fled to Ukraine following threats in his homeland. He died of wounds in an ambulance after being shot outside his apartment on Tuesday. Friend and colleague, ATR TV director Ayder Muzhdabaev, has no doubts why Babchenko was killed: "It's a tragic loss, it's a huge loss for international journalism because he was one of the few who wrote the actual truth about what the Russian Federation is doing. And if it wasn't dangerous for them, if they did not care about it, they would not have killed him". At the United Nations, Ukraine's foreign minister Pavlo Klimkin told reporters his government is determined to establish who was responsible. "Look, of course, it is about finding out who was behind it. And as I have said, it is too early to say, we see simply, the Russian pattern there." But on his Facebook page, Ukrainian Prime Minister Vladimir Groysman left no doubt that he thinks Russia is behind the death. He referred to an incident four years ago when Babchenko was due to take a flight on a Ukrainian military helicopter. The aircraft was shot down and all the people on board were killed. He said the "Russian totalitarian machine cannot bear neither honest people, nor people with principles. May the killers be punished." In 2016 another journalist, Pavel Sheremet, died in an as yet unsolved case. A native of Belarus, he had worked for several Russian media outlets in the past, He died in a car bombing in central Kiev. And Oles Bouzina, a vocal critic of a current Kiev government, was shot to death in April 2015, when he was walking along the street. That crime was never solved either. Russia has called for an investigation into Babchenko's killing, although in a statement the country's Foreign Ministry said in that bloody crimes and total impunity have become routine in Ukraine.

Italy MEP demands Oettinger quit after saying voters will be taught
Ignazio Corrao, MEP for 5SM told the late night politics programme that comments from EU's Budget Commissioner, Gunther Oettinger, about Italy electing populists were "not acceptable". Mr Oettinger told German media, DW, the market crash following Italy's election should serve as a warning to the rest of Europe about electing populists. He appeared to suggest financial markets would force Italians to reject populist parties. According to DW journalist Bernd Thomas Riegert who interviewed the EU official, Oettinger hit out at Italian voters. The journalist wrote on Twitter: "'The markets will teach the Italians to vote for the right thing' EU commissioner Oettinger told me in an exclusive interview in Strasbourg." Mr Corrao slammed the Budget Commissioner's comments, and said: "We want to see Germany behave as a country that really cares about the countries." He accused the German of "referring to the Italian and Italian people not as a partner country, but a country that can be talked down to".

Putin critic Bill Browder released after arrest in Spain
British businessman Bill Browder, an outspoken critic of Russian President Vladimir Putin, was arrested by Spanish polic" in Madrid on a Russian arrest warrant, according to a tweet he posted on Wednesday morning. He was released later that morning. Browder first tweeted: "Urgent: Just was arrested by Spanish police in Madrid on a Russian Interpol arrest warrant. Going to the police station right now." A few minutes later he sent another: "In the back of the Spanish police car going to the station on the Russian arrest warrant. They won't tell me which station." The warrant that Browder posted shows that he is being arrested for alleged fraud. Later on Monday morning, Browder shared a post of him being released, saying: "Good news. Spanish National Police just released me after Interpol General Secretary in Lyon advised them not to honor the new Russian Interpol Red Notice. This is the 6th time that Russia has abused Interpol in my case" An Interpol spokesperson declined to comment. The organisation has previously urged member countries to ignore attempts by Russia to use its network to apprehend Browder. 'I've been threatened' Browder told Euronews earlier this year that he had been threatened by the Kremlin. When speaking about the attempted murder of Sergei Skripal and his daughter, Yulia, in early March, Browder claimed Russia was responsible and that he feared for his own life. "I've been threatened by Dmitry Medvedev, the Russian prime minister, who said at Davos: It's a shame that Sergei Magnitsky (my lawyer) is dead and Bill Browder is still alive and running around." The American-born businessman, who heads Hermitage Capital Management, had said threats against him came after he initiated and rallied Western countries to adopt the Magnitsky Act, which imposes sanctions on Russian officials accused of human rights abuses. The act was named after his lawyer and tax accountant Sergei Magnitsky, who died in a Russian jail after accusing the interior ministry of corruption. Six countries have passed the act, which Browder said angered Putin.

Shoplifter gets detained by shop assitant
This was in South London where there are more British Citizens from Jamaica and Africa. The guy filming keeps shouting Blood Clot (he thinks he is being cool saying that over and over again like a broken record) and the phrase "Raas Claat" which is swearing in West Indian language. None of the pedestrians on the street tried to help the shop assistant even when he asked for them to and in the end, a Jamaican woman decided to get involved and ordered him to let go off the woman who wriggled out of her stolen jersey and ran off leaving it behind. London is slowly becoming a total shit hole. As usual, the police did not arrive at all so it would have been a long wait had the assistant actually been able to detain the shoplifting woman.

Despite the obvious impairment, the pickup truck drives along busy roads at speeds of up to 80 kph (50 mph) with the filmer in pursuit. Russia's parkour kids twist and bounce through a crumbling mining city
The Russian city of Berezniki, at the gateway to Siberia, is most well known for its collapsing mines and crumbling sinkholes. But one man, 23-year-old Sergey has taken advantage of the industrial infrastructure to pass on his passion to younger generations: parkour. He encourages local youth to engage with their decaying environment. The kids are not yet teenagers, but carrying cameras in their mouths, they record their dangerous journey around the city, leaping over roofs and climbing sheer walls (with a bit of help from the "pack leader"). "The outskirts of the city disintegrate underground," says Sergey in written comments. "The mines crumble. People do not look after themselves." He believes the sport is a great way to encourage the kids to stay healthy. "They are not afraid," he says (Sergey is pictured in the grey). "They need the support of someone who has already engaged with it, and I give them this." He also believes it teaches them confidence, and that confidence in parkour will provide "confidence in life". Exhausted from their long journey, the kids are rewarded with snacks at the end. While these children - the youngest of whom is 11 - leave the more terrifying moves to Sergey, the sport doesn't come without its risks. Russia is well-known for its "rooftoppers" snapping selfies during their death-defying stunts. The Russian Interior Ministry eventually launched a "safe selfie" campaign in 2015, but there have since been further parkour-related deaths. The most famous was Russian chess prodigy Yuri Eliseev who died in late 2016 at the young age of 20 after falling 12 storeys. +CLIENTS PLEASE NOTE: MUSIC IS ROYALTY-FREE+

22 hrs of fighting,166 sirens, Over 100 rockets, mortars from Gaza, 65 targets striked by IDF and 0 casulties- Summary of the latest round
The IAF bombed 65 Hamas and Islamic Jihad facilities across the Gaza Strip in two rounds of air raids (on Tuesday afternoon and predawn Wednesday) amid the largest exchange between Israel and Gazan militant groups since the 2014 war. Over the course of 22 hours, from 7 a.m. Tuesday to 5:15 a.m. Wednesday, sirens were triggered at least 166 times in Israeli communities by mortar fire, rockets or, in some cases, heavy machine gun fire. The Palestinians kept launching rockets for several hours after the IDF stopped its strikes in Gaza. As of now, the military had yet to release a final tally for the number of projectiles fired at Israel from Gaza, but it is likely 100-150. From the end of the 2014 Gaza war until yesterday approximately 80 projectiles were fired from Gaza into Israel. Dozens of the incoming mortar shells and rockets were intercepted by the Iron Dome missile defense system. Others landed in open fields in south-west Israel. A small number landed inside Israeli communities, including a mortar round that directly hit a home in the Eshkol region and a shell that exploded in the yard of a kindergarten shortly before children arrived. Another rocket also struck a sports center in the town of Netivot. Several people in Israel were injured by the mortar attacks, 3 of them soldiers. One of the soldiers was moderately hurt, requiring surgery. No casulties were reported in Gaza. A reported Egyptian-brokered informal ceasefire between the Palestinian groups and Israel appeared to be holding on since Wednesday morning. Brexit 'major risk' for U.K. economy says OECD
The Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) has released its latest economic outlook. It says global growth will be around 4% in 2019 and there will be a modest rise in GDP for some Eurozone countries next year. For the United Kingdom economic growth is to to remain modest at 1.4% in 2018 and 1.3% in 2019 due to "high uncertainties about the outcome of Brexit negotiations". It's not the only warning over Brexit the OECD gave, the added Brexit negotiations should aim to preserve "open trade" with the European Union and growth has been "held back by Brexit-induced economic uncertainty".

Archaeologists make dramatic discovery in Pompeii
A nasty end for this man, when he was struck with a 300 kilogramme boiling mass back in 79 A.D. Archaeologists working the ancient city of Pompeii are excited at this discovery - the first skeleton to be found at the site in 40 years. Anthropologists say the 30-35 year-old man is likely to have survived Mount Vesuvius' first deadly ash fall, only to be killed by a lump of falling debris, probably part of a building, later. It's thought he had a limp, due to a bone infection in his leg, and that he was trying to escape when he was hit. The discovery has been welcomed by the UNESCO World Heritage site, which received EUR50 million last year from the EU to continue work on the site until 2020.

Police clear Paris migrant camp
Police started to move out hundreds of migrants living in makeshift camps in Paris on Wednesday. Scores of people were taken away from the "Millenaire" camp next to a canal in the northeast of the city and escorted to temporary accommodation centres. Riot police were also on standby as the evacuation took place. France has undertaken previous measures to clear out migrant camps in Paris, only for new camps to spring up again. "I don't think we could have waited for four months to move these people to a safe place," Paris Mayor Anne Hidalgo told reporters. "I made a proposal to the state to reform a centre in Paris, like the one we had at Porte de La Chapelle, which is the only option possible if we want to avoid the wild street camps." The French government has said it wants to be both firm and fair on immigration but it has adopted a a tougher stance lately, with parliament approving a bill that tightens asylum rules. Europe has been grappling with a migrant crisis since 2015 following wars in Libya and Syria. More than a million people from Africa and the Middle East have tried to reach the continent via Turkey or by sea.
