This is the stunning moment hat-shaped clouds float over a mountain during the cooler weather in northern Thailand. Aui, the owner of a holiday camp near the foot of the mountain, recorded time-lapse footage of unusual cloud formation from her balcony in Chiang Mai on October 12. The clouds, also known as Pileus, were seen gliding on top of the Chiang Dao mountain, surrounded by the bright blue sky. The inn-keeper said these rare clouds only appear when the temperature drops, usually during the cold months at the latter part of the year. She said: "This is one of the breathtaking moments I love to witness while living here. Nature is truly relaxing takes away my stress. Pileus clouds are normally seen in the shape of a scarf, cap, or hat depending on the landscape where they are formed. Thailand's weather is becoming cooler, particularly in the north of the country, as the winter season approaches. Temperatures can fall to single digits - far below the hot summer climate which passes 35C on most days.
