Locals are flocking to take selfies under artificial cherry blossom trees installed at a park in Thailand. The 'Sakura Alley' in Nakhon Ratchasima province was lined with the pink trees, designed to replicate the popular sakura season in Japan. Footage shows how hundreds of tourists visit the 1,000ft-long road which has been decorated with the synthetic pink sakura. Officials said the park is anticipated to attract more visitors in the winter season within the next few months. The beautiful bright pink cherry blossoms, also known as Sakura flowers, are Japan's unofficial national flower. It has been celebrated for many centuries and holds a prominent position in Japanese culture. There are many dozens of different cherry tree varieties in Japan, most of which bloom for just a few days in spring
