The ex-cop that murdered George Floyd has been arrested and his mugshot has been released. Derek Michael Chauvin is in the Ramsey County Jail in Saint Paul, Minnesota charged with one count of Third Degree Murder and one count of Manslaughter. His diet is now restricted to bare bones inmate meals or processed foods from the commissary. People with money like Chauvin typically gain significant weight due to the fatty foods they are forced to eat to avoid starving. He will no doubt be in a cell by himself for his own safety where he will only get out for an hour or two a day if that at first. He will be a "walk alone" which is a form of protective custody that keeps people like him safe in jail.
