On January 25, 2020 the 79th running of the Hahnenkamm downhill ski race will once again take place in Kitzbuhel, Austria. The race first run in 1931 is arguably the crown jewel of alpine ski racing. The winner of the race will take home 74,000EUR. Fans packing the finish arena number around 50,000. The snow is water injected to make it ice rink hard, and speeds regularly reach 150 kph.
