Stephen Johnson was fired from his position as Miami Gardens Police Chief after he was arrested in a prostitution sting by the Broward County Sheriff's Office. The BCSO offered the following description of the incident: On Friday, Johnson used his cellphone to call a number he'd found on the escort section of backpage.com and spoke to a woman he believed to be a prostitute. They discussed him paying $80 for 30 minutes with one woman, later settling on $100 for a threesome.At about 6:20 p.m. Friday, Johnson arrived at an unidentified hotel in Dania Beach with two condoms in his back pocket. He knocked on the door of room 423, where he was greeted by the presumed prostitutes. As soon as he paid the $100, he was arrested. Johnson, who had been chief for a year, was taken to the Broward County jail and later released on bond.
