Turns out, you don't have to have a long resume to host one of the most popular fake news shows on cable.
Just five months after joining Comedy Central's Daily Show as a new cast member, 31-year-old Trevor Noah has been named the new host of the popular weeknight "news" show. The news comes just weeks after long-time host Jon Stewart announced he was stepping down from the show after 16 years.
Noah is largely unknown to American audiences. Before joining The Daily Show last October, the youthful comedian had built a following in his native South Africa, where he hosted music, film, television award shows and even his own talk show. That hosting experience could serve him well as the ring leader of Comedy Central's somewhat anarchic news show. He also had a comedy special on Showtime in 2013. Read more...
