Police have released body-cam vision of the moment a man who allegedly threatened officers with a knife was arrested in Surfers Paradise. The dramatic scenes unfolded on the corner of Remembrance Drive and Clifford Street on Saturday night. The vision (below) shows police pouncing on the 29-year-old man after he lost control of a stolen BMW and smashed into a brick wall outside an apartment building about 10pm. It's alleged the man stole the luxury sedan from a home in Shailer Park on April 11 and was spotted by police filling it up at a service station in Goodna about 8.45pm last night. Officers went to arrest the man but it's alleged he pulled out a knife and threatened them before speeding off. Police said the man allegedly tried refuelling the stolen BMW again on his way to the Gold Coast. His time on the run, however, was short lived after he lost control of the stolen car in Surfers Paradise and crashed into an oncoming car before smashing into the Voco building. The man has been charged with a list of offences and will appear in Southport Magistrates Court on Monday.
