WWII veteran Captain Sir Tom Moore honored with claps across UK following death at age 100

People in the United Kingdom took part in claps for Captain Sir Tom Moore, who died due to COVID-19 on February 2 at the age of 100. Prime Minister Boris Johnson urged people across the country to clap in a show of appreciation at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, February 3. Captain Moore was a British World War II veteran who raised millions of pounds for health service workers on the frontline of the battle against the coronavirus.
