By Canadian legal definition, undisclosed medical procedures that are expected to harm or kill patients are considered assault and battery with intent. On Feb 16th 2015, Dr. Anthony Della Siega invoiced the BC Government for an invasive cardiac procedure he denied performing, and that Dr. Paul Novak from Island Health denied arranging, after an unsuspecting patient reported shortness of breath at rest, incapacitation and nausea shortly after it. On April 12th 2018, Dr. Vyselaar discovered this undisclosed procedure, after finding disturbing clinical findings omitted from the patient's medical notes. Dr. Vyselaar also confirmed that medical staff surreptitiously tried to claim that the patient was 'suffering from a nervous breakdown' (even though the patient had no history of mental illness). Dr. Vyselaar confirmed that the young, formerly complication free patient, entered the Royal Jubilee Hospital cardiac ward operative theater 4 days later, with expectedly fatal injuries. In 2018, Eric Ooms from the Victoria Police Department threatened to arrest the patient, after he reported Dr. Vyselaar's findings during a taped phone call. In March 2019, Dr. Siega finally admitted to 'crossing the patient's lesioned aortic valve' during a separate undisclosed procedure, after the commencement of an ongoing BC Government billing integrity investigation.
