Surge in transgender candidates seeking rights reform

At least 40 transgender candidates are running for office in 2018, motivated by the Trump administration rescinding some LGBT rights. The largest LGBT organization in the country, Human Rights Campaign, says its optimistic it can target their voting block and make a difference in this year’s election.
