Colourful flower displays are brightening up an ancient fortress for in Thailand. The potted flowers and arrangements are displayed in the Mahakan Fort in Phra Nakhon, Bangkok. Footage shows two mannequins dressed in flowers standing guard in front of the old military construction on December 4. Thousands of plant varieties cover the military building which is more than half a hectare in size. Some of these include Zinnia, Celosia, French marigold, Cosmos, Periwinkle, and various Orchids, etc, in visually appealing patterns. Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) organised the flower feast so that people in the city can experience nature for the New Year. Governor Asawin Kwanmuang said the flower show will last for 45 days until next January. He said: "The flower fields are open for free to everyone. It is our gift to the people so please everyone come."
