Or don't and just get shot. VOLUME WARNING - cop sounds like a little girl who lost her barbie. On Monday, October 28, 2019 at 6:28 p.m., an EPD Officer was dispatched to a traffic collision. A witness to the crash stopped to see if they could render assistance to the driver involved in the collision. Within two minutes, an officer arrived and was met by the original witness to the crash as well as two other witnesses. One of the witnesses told the officer that he believed that the driver of the vehicle appeared to be under the influence of some substance. Officer approached the wrecked vehicle and found the driver, who has been identified as 45 year-old Terry Wayne Chanley. Chanley was sitting in the vehicle with his door open and appeared to be intoxicated by his appearance and mannerisms. Officer asked Chanley for his driver`s license and registration and he just shook his head and began reaching underneath his seat. Chanley was given verbal commands to stop reaching for items, which he ignored. Because Chanley continued to reach for items in a suspicious manner disregarding the officer's orders, the officer backed away in order to give him some distance from Chanley and drew his weapon. The officer continued to shout commands, telling Chanley to show his hands. Chanley then grabbed an object appeared to be black, pointed it at the officer and began to move toward him in an aggressive manner. 'At this point, the officer believing that Chanley was armed with a gun and posed an immediate threat to himself and the witnesses that were behind the officer fired his handgun at Chanley'. Officer began to back away from Chanley while still issuing commands and 'Chanley continued to advance on the officer in an aggressive manner. Fearing for his own safety and the safety of the witnesses', officer fired at Chanley again. Chanley still continued to advance on the officer fired a third and final time in order to stop the immediate threat to his life.The EPD believe that the 'officer acted and performed his duties in a legal, justified, and reasonable manner, taking action to protect members of the public as well as himself from serious injury or harm'. After the shooting, the officer said Chanley was holding a black object the officer thought was a gun. Police released a picture showing a black hammer laying on the ground. "At the beginning it was just like any other crash investigation," said Sgt. Jason Cullum, the police spokesman. "We don't know why he (Chanley) acted as he did. The officer took actions as he was trained to do." The Vanderburgh County coroner's office says Chanley died from a single gunshot to the chest. The name of the officer involved in the shooting hasn't been released. Cullum says the officer remains on paid leave, adding he is also meeting with a mental health counselor.

'The Hand of God' M61 20mm Vulcan Cannon

Battlefield Vegas nicknamed their M61 20mm Vulcan Cannon "The Hand of God" because it can lay great vengeance and furious anger upon its target. They brought the M61 Vulcan mounted on a British FV432 APC to the Big Sandy Shoot in October 2018. It pretty much stole the show. Every time it fired, there was a huge crowd cheering it on. It's not every day you get to see an M61 Vulcan in action. They're normally found on F-18 and F-16 fighter jets. That's where Battlefield got theirs - an F-16. It was de-milled, but their talented gunsmith were able to put it back together and get it working again. Vulcans fire the electrically primed 20mm round at a rate of 6,000 rounds per minute. Battlefield was able to slow down the rate of fire to about 3,500 RPM by replacing the hydraulic motor with an electric one. This is beneficial because ed them to reduce the rate of fire to around 3,500 RPM which is good in a way because at 6,000 RPM, if you blink your eye, you can miss the burst. A slower rate of fire actually allows the burst to be appreciated. The 20mm projectiles fired at Big Sandy weighed 1,500 grains and left the muzzle at around 3,500 feet per second. According to Robert Bigando, the big gun expert who loaded all the rounds and tended to the gun, the 20mm round is extremely hot and produces very high pressures. "It's a ripper downrange," he said. One of Vulcan's biggest disadvantages stems from the fact that it was designed as an airborne weapon system. 20mm rounds feed out of its large 511 round ammo drum, and then back into it once fired. (This is so spent shells don't get get sucked into jet engines, or fall on people's heads.) This makes it a complicated gun to shoot and maintain. It also makes it extremely rare. As far as Bigando is aware, there's only two firing Vulcans in civilian hands in the USA and despite it's finicky nature, "It's one of the meanest guns out there," said Bigando. If you're interested in firing the Vulcan, you can do that at Battlefield Vegas. Besides having an indoor range located just off the strip, they just opened an outdoor range a few miles outside Las Vegas where civilians can fire a variety of large caliber weapons like an M60A1 tank, miniguns, and artillery guns.

Produced in 1964, this awesome U.S. Air Force film shows tactical weapons tests against various types of targets using F-100 Super Sabre and other aircraft. Over 100 target complexes were built to simulate enemy positions including anti-aircraft missiles sights similar to those used in Cuba. Tests were also conducted of air to air missiles, air to ground and anti-tank weapons, and bombs. At the 3 minute mark, a radio-controlled drone is destroyed flying at 180 miles per hour. A sidewinder missile fired from the F-104 sidewinder is seen destroying an F-80 at the 3:30 mark. The F-105 Thunderchief is also seen performing ground attacks, including attacks with napalm. F-84F Thunderstreaks are also seen in the film. The Zuni rocket is seen at the 6:30 mark. At 11:40 four Starfighters are seen dropping napalm on a simulated enemy convoy. Barges were also used in the test to simulate enemy landing forces (see 14:30). At the 15 minute mark a terrible accident is seen, in which the chase aircraft and primary in a test strike were destroyed by fragments, forcing both pilots to eject. At the 16 minute mark, F-100s and F-104s fire Bullpup missiles at a parked train including a steam locomotive. The Fairchild C-123 Provider, shown in 123H prototype form with wide track undercarriage and two underwing J85 booster engines is also shown being tested at the 17:30 mark. The C-130 is also shown being put through its paces as part of combat testing.

Bodycam released of police officer shooting dog

Officials have released bodycam footage of a police officer shooting a dog, which police say was aggressive, in the backyard of a home in Harvard Friday afternoon. The Harvard Police Department and McHenry County Sheriff's Office responded to a 911 call around 2:10 p.m. Friday about a person who pointed a gun at someone in the 600 block of Driftwood Lane. Responding officers located the suspect vehicle around 2:15 p.m. parked in the driveway of a home in the 200 block of East Metzen Street. Two minutes later, an officer yelled, "shots fired, shots fired, dog attacking me" into the radio. "After officers responded, an unleashed canine in the unsecured backyard of that residence aggressively charged at an officer. The officer fired one shot and struck the canine," Harvard Police Chief Mark Krause said. The City of Harvard released edited bodycam footage Tuesday of the shooting, which shows a police officer walking to the backyard of the home as a dog is seen running towards the officer. The officer then fires one shot, striking the dog in the neck. Krause told the Northwest Herald that the officer involved will not face any consequences from the department. 20-year-old Daniel G. Perez, who owns the dog and lives at the home seen in the video, was taken into custody a short time later after the dog was shot. Police said he was the suspect involved in the incident on Driftwood Lane that police officers were investigating. Perez was released but arrested Monday evening on a warrant for aggravated assault. He was also cited for unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia and unlawful possession of cannabis under city ordinance. He was released after posting $100 bail and is scheduled to appear in court on November 20. A GoFundMe started for Perez's dog, named Stella, has raised almost $500. She continues to be treated at an animal hospital and is expected to survive.

Dashcam video shows the moment the Getty Fire sparked up near the 405 Freeway as a tree branch hit a city power line. Investigators have determined that high winds carried a tree branch into a Department of Water and Power line, setting off an electrical arc and sending sparks to the ground that ignited the blaze. The video from a car driving along the 405 Freeway shows a white electrical arc and explosion along the side of the road not far from the Getty Center. Investigators say the video helped them pinpoint the cause and time of origin of the blaze. They determined the blaze started around 1:30 a.m. Monday near the 1800 block of North Sepulveda Boulevard. They say there was no evidence of arson or a homeless encampment in the area. Fueled by dry terrain and strong Santa Ana winds, the blaze grew to more than 600 acres in less than 12 hours of ignition before firefighters were able to get the flames under control. They remain vigilant as the Santa Ana winds are expected to pick up again late Tuesday night.

30 musicians from 12 countries united through their love of music. In music as in life, the things that make us different make us stronger. All the various instruments, tones, perspectives, and cultures in this recording combine to create a new version of this classic Song Around The World. The idea was born a few years ago during breakfast at the Byron Bay Bluesfest in Australia. Our friend and drummer, Peter Bunetta, introduced me to Tom Johnston of The Doobie Brothers and we talked about taking "Listen to the Music" around the world. We started the track with an acoustic guitar demo played to a click track and then added bass from Colombia, tablas and veena from India, and then headed to the Redwood Forest in Northern California to record and film Tom Johnston live outside. We then recorded and filmed Patrick Simmons and John McFee playing along to the track in a park in San Diego. The journey then continued throughout North and South America, Europe, The Middle East, Asia, and Africa. Mini cooper crashes into a bicyclist

The bicyclist suffered severe injuries in the 11:45 p.m. collision in the 3000 block of Berkeley Avenue, the Los Angeles Police Department said in a written statement. The car, described as "a possibly early-model Mini Cooper, red with a white roof," struck the bicyclist head-on, as seen in surveillance video that captured the crash. The car likely has damage to its front end, hood and windshield. "After the collision, the driver failed to stop to render aid (and) identify themselves and fled the scene in the vehicle," according to the statement. The injured bicyclist has since been listed in stable condition at a hospital, police said. The city of Los Angeles offers a standing $25,000 reward for information leading to the capture and conviction of drivers involved in injury hit-and-run collisions.

John Kelly: "I told Trump He Would Be Impeached"

David M. Drucker SEA ISLAND, Georgia - John Kelly warned President Trump that hiring a "yes man" to succeed him as White House chief of staff would lead to impeachment and, in hindsight, regrets his decision to resign. House Democrats launched an impeachment inquiry into Trump less than a year after Kelly departed the administration. The retired, four-star Marine general suggested the blame lies squarely with acting White House chief of staff Mick Mulvaney and other advisers who are unable, or unwilling, to keep the president out of trouble. Kelly, 69, said he privately cautioned Trump during his final days on the job that he would be impeached if he did not tap a chief of staff with the fortitude to check the president's bad impulses. Kelly said he does not believe the president would be in this predicament had he stayed. "I said, whatever you do - and we were still in the process of trying to find someone to take my place - I said whatever you do, don't hire a 'yes man,' someone who won't tell you the truth - don't do that. Because if you do, I believe you will be impeached," Kelly recalled, in an interview at the Sea Island Summit, a political conference hosted by the Washington Examiner. "That was almost 11 months ago, and I have an awful lot of, to say the least, second thoughts about leaving," Kelly said. "It pains me to see what's going on because I believe if I was still there or someone like me was there, he would not be kind of, all over the place." The House is expected to vote on articles of impeachment by Christmas, with a trial to follow in the Senate to determine whether Trump should be removed from office. The proceedings were sparked by allegations that the president asked Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to launch an investigation into former Vice President Joe Biden, a political rival seeking the Democratic nomination. Kelly, Trump's homeland security secretary before being tapped as his second chief of staff, did not validate impeachment or endorse the inquiry. But he indicated that the White House bears some responsibility for the investigation, saying flatly that it was avoidable - contradicting many Trump allies who insist congressional Democrats were going to find any excuse to impeach the president. "Someone has got to be a guide that tells [the president] that you either have the authority or you don't; or Mr. President, don't do it," Kelly said. "Don't hire someone that will just nod and say, 'That's a great idea Mr. President.' Because you will be impeached." Kelly added, "The system that should be in place, clearly - the system of advising, bringing in experts in, having these discussions with the president so he can make an informed decision, that clearly is not in place. And I feel bad that I left."

Knife lady shot dead - ACCPD yet again showing they have the most chilled police / best cams

The Athens-Clarke County Police Department has released the body camera footage from the October 14th Officer Involved Shooting on Chalfont Drive with Bonny Thomas and Senior Police Officer (SPO) Lamar Glenn. At approximately 10:15 am on October 14th, ACCPD was dispatched to the 100 block of Chalfont Drive for a suspicious person call involving a female who was said to be armed with a gun and a knife. As the video begins, SPO Glenn (53 YOA) arrives at the scene and notices Thomas (54 YOA) appearing to flag him down. As Glenn is preparing to exit his vehicle, he sees that Thomas has a butcher knife in one hand. After Glenn exits his vehicle, Thomas continues towards him with a knife in one hand while her other hand is concealed under her shirt. Glenn retreats towards the rear of his vehicle while issuing verbal commands for Thomas to drop the knife. Thomas ignores these commands and continues to walk towards Glenn with the knife raised above her head saying, "I have a gun and a knife." The video shows that Glenn continues to retreat. He refrains from using force against Thomas until she runs towards him with the knife raised above her head in a threatening manner. Glenn fires one shot striking Thomas in the torso. After additional officers arrived, ACCPD administered first aid to Thomas until EMS arrived. Thomas was transported to a local hospital where she later died. The GBI is continuing its investigation into this Officer Involved Shooting. Credit to @ Police Activity on YT

10-24-2019, THURS, 5pm Crypto Capital President Ivan Manuel Molina Lee was arrested by Polish authorities, accused of being part of an international drug cartel and involved in its money-laundering operations using Bitfinex, according to several Polish news sites. Crypto Capital was a company with which Bitfinex allegedly entrusted $850 million, money the exchange said it was unable to access later. To cover the loss, the exchange conducted a $1 billion token sale in May. It was previously reported that the Polish Ministry of Justice had seized bank accounts in name of Crypto SP. Z O.O. The seized funds, which amount to $350 million, reportedly belonged to Crypto SP. Z O.O. and NESP SP. Z O.O., two companies likely affiliated with Crypto Capital and Molina Lee, according to several financial documents. The seizure was a part of an anti-money laundering operation conducted by the Polish authority. Polish Media RMF 24 said Molina Lee was sought by Polish authorities in connection with the seized funds, which was "about laundering money from Colombian drug cartels through the cryptocurrency exchange," the article said. According to the National Public Prosecutor's Office, The money-laundering operation was "the largest security [seizure] in the history of the Polish prosecutor's office against forfeiture." According to Decrypt, several other major cryptocurrency exchanges, including Binance, Kraken, and BitMEX, have also used Crypto Capital's banking services. The Block has reached out to Bitfinex for comments and will update the story once a response is received.

OSP releases body cam footage of controversial OSU student arrest

Picks up around the 17:00 mark and action is at 20:30 Oregon State Police released body camera video that shows the arrest of a 21-year-old black Oregon State University student. The arrest of Genesis Hansen on Sunday, Oct. 13 sparked controversy after other students questioned the amount of force police used to take her into custody. Students recorded the incident on their cellphones. Police originally cited her for not riding her bicycle on the right side of the road. The body camera footage from the OSP trooper shows Hansen questioning the reasons for being given the citation. She also refuses to provide the trooper with her identification. Because she refused to provide her identification, the trooper and a Corvallis police officer then arrest her, accusing her of interfering with a peace officer and resisting arrest. After reviewing the OSP body camera footage, Benton County District Attorney John Haroldson said last Friday he would not be pursing any charges against Hansen. Oregon State University said because of the incident it would take a second look at its contract with Oregon State Police. OSP said it was releasing the video to be transparent. "As an agency that is committed to eliminating racial profiling and implicit bias in policing, these allegations are being meticulously reviewed and we are compiling as much information as possible," OSP said. "The agency understands the importance of vigorously investigating these allegations and is taking a serious look at the incident." On Monday, the NAACP said the arrest of Hansen was inhumane and unlawful. It said it wants OSP and the Corvallis Police Department to apologize to her. It also wants all charges against her to be withdrawn. Additionally, it wants university officials to provide support to Hansen and for city leaders to meet with the Corvallis NAACP branch.
