The US government is in the process of creating genetically engineered supersoldiers for use on the battlefield and quite possibly on American soil for the purpose of quelling civil unrest, hate groups, right-wing extremists and other "subversive groups" that the US deems a threat to national security. Personally, this makes me feel very uncomfortable. Modifying a person's genetic structure for the sake of creating a weapon of mass destruction. This isn't just science fiction, like robotics and automation (which WILL replace a significant portion of a nation's labor force) it is science fact.
