What goes up must come down...Train cars disconnected from the locomotive

A few cars miraculously did not fall under the cars unhooked from the locomotive at the crossing near Temirtau. The camera of the registrar captured a dangerous moment. The incident occurred on the evening of February 22 in the Kuzembayev mine area, which, like the railway line itself, belongs to ArcelorMittal Temirtau. The frames show how the loaded train crossed the road, after which the crossing was opened, but less than a minute later several cars passed in the opposite direction, followed by a diesel locomotive. Several drivers noticed the "fugitives" on time and stopped in front of the railway tracks. As it turned out, such cases often occur at this crossing. A source in the company explained to the site inbusiness.kz that because of work at the mine, the land constantly sinks, and with it the railway. When descending into the formed lowland, the train picks up speed in order to rise to the top, but it is here that, as a rule, the wagons go "free-floating". "In order to repair and align this section, it is necessary to block traffic on the only highway that goes from Karaganda to the satellite cities of Saran, Abay, Shakhtinsk and further to Zhezkazgan," the company representative explained.
