Adding a bit of noise-spice/surrealism into the mix at Pacha Ibiza 31/7/18. Live, impromptu, battery operated, harsh noise performance at The Balcony Bar. Getting the gear into the club was a feat! It had to be as small & loud as possible, I had to find the best stuff available in the world, modify some of it myself & then think of an excuse to get it past security. When the doorman opened my bag, saw the gear & took out the dazzlingly decorated, modified, voice changer/megaphone he looked a bit shocked & snapped "what's this?" I said I'd been making an arty music . Then he looked like he was deliberating about whether to let me in the club or not. Then he said "Ok, you must put it in the cloakroom", escorted me there and made sure it went in. So then I thought, Oh well, I tried. But when I was walking in I thought, what about getting it out of the cloakroom & pretending to leave later on when a few people were leaving & trying to discretely sneak it back in then. So at about 4am, after a bit of planning I started watching the cloakroom entrance, when it started to get busy & there was no security about I got in the queue, got my bag & when I sussed the cloakroom girl wasn't looking I quickly slipped back into the club & up to the balcony bar where the club music was the quietest. All I had to do then was keep an eye out for security & discretely set up. Mission successful!
