Exclusive: Tech firms lobbied US to keep ties to Russian intelligence

Just as outgoing President Barack Obama imposed harsh sanctions on Russia for its alleged interference in the 2016 election last year, US tech companies lobbied to soften one sanction that banned any business ties with the FSB, an intelligence agency that also acts of a regulator for tech imports to the Russian market.
