Spanish engineer Ricardo Morcillo presented the RM 400, a wind turbine prototype that he hopes could soon replace traditional wind-energy plants due to its high efficiency, in Cieza, Friday. Morcillo's version is cheaper to repair, maintain, transport and construct, while special permits from the government are not required to use the generator to produce energy, the inventor claimed, adding "Due to its height it does not interfere in the birds' migration routes."
