Deadly shooting in the parking lot of Melba's Restaurant near St. Roch. In the video, a man gets out of a white Hyundai and begins shooting into a red Honda Accord. The two victims were inside the Honda. Police said an officer was in the area when he saw two men shooting at the Honda. The officer chased the two men, who were in a white Hyundai, but he ultimately lost sight of the vehicle in a nearby neighborhood. Shortly after, detectives learned that the red Honda crashed near a construction site at the intersection of Bienville and Crozat streets. When officers arrived at the scene, they found a 24-year-old man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds in the front passenger's seat. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Detectives learned that the second victim, a 23-year-old man who was also in the Honda, arrived at a hospital suffering from a gunshot wound in the arm. Jacob Love, 26, was identified as one of the shooters in the incident, police said. Two guns were recovered at the scene. Police said that a second shooter is still at large. The identity of that person is unknown. Love was arrested on a charge of second-degree murder. A photo of Love was not immediately available.
