When Jamica Thomas, the owner of the ACCS Learning Center in Ohio, installed cameras in her facility to ensure the safety of the children entrusted to her business, she never imagined the vile acts of violence she would capture on video. The facility had two bad apple on staff, and both were caught abusing the innocent children in their care. The victims of the savage abuse were three siblings, which are seen being struck and thrown like rag dolls. The children are only 4-,3-, and 1-year-old. While the news cast below shows clips of what was caught on the surveillance footage, there has been an important update since the report. Both Stachya Powell and J'moni Bonner have been arrested. In the footage, Powell is first seen striking the 1-year-old child, hitting the toddler six times before grabbing him by the arm and flinging him to the ground, Opposing Views reports. However, the children's nightmare was just beginning that day, as half an hour later, Bonner walks into the room and proceeds to hit all three children with the 1-year-old being struck in the back of the head. The incident purportedly took place three days before the arrest of Powell and Bonner this week. However, police are now investigating to determine how long the abuse has gone on. The children's mother, Tatiana Mance, is also demanding answers as to when the beatings began, as well as a plethora of other questions that are flooding the mother's mind after seeing the abuse her children endured. "I was shocked. I'm like, did this really happen? Why did this happen to my kids? You just don't expect that to be shown to you," Mance said. She's not the only one in shock, as Thomas, the owner, shared what she felt when she saw her own employees beating the children in her center - it was her worst nightmare. Knowing that she had no choice but to report Powell and Bonner, although it would likely tarnish the reputation of her business, she shared her disgust over the behavior she discovered with the cameras - which weren't even hidden. "You got to be comfortable to do this in front of cameras. You got to be comfortable, they were doing it like it was nothing new to them," Thomas told WKRC. According to Thomas, Bonner denied abusing the children until she was shown the video; however, it was Powell's justification for the abuse that further shocked the daycare owner. Powell dismissed her abusive behavior, as she calmly told her boss, it must have been a "bad day." A bad day indeed - for those poor children! Although she reports that she reviewed the surveillance tapes often, this is the first time Thomas ever saw anything inappropriate like this. Hopefully, these women are kept far away from children for the rest of their lives. If they behave this way in a professional and public setting, can you imagine what they may be capable of behind closed doors in the privacy of their own homes? http://ift.tt/1DucBCb
