Notwithstanding broad access restrictions around the National Mall during the 2021 presidential inaugural ceremony, supporters of President Joe Biden, t-shirt salespeople, activists, musicians, street performers, and journalists gathered nearby to mark the occasion while helmeted U.S. Capitol Police officers monitored the area on January 20 in Washington DC.
