This is the moment a faithful English mastiff, Dexter, remembered his recently deceased owner, David Browning, when his granddaughter, Xandria Browning, played guitar in Delaware County, Ohio. David used to play music for Dexter, and as Xandria plays "Appointments" by American singer Julien Baker on her guitar, Dexter reacts with sadness when he places his head on her lap as he misses David. "Wait til the end for the cutest thing ever (also the way he looks at me)," xandria.b captioned the video on social media. She later told Newsflare: "My grandfather passed away recently, and his dog used to love when he'd play for him, so I played him a song." David had Dexter for 10 years and was inseparable, according to Xandria. "Dexter would whine and cry every time my grandpa had to leave for Cleveland (as he had many many doctor appointments there due to his lung health). He would sleep by his door every night until he came home, and he was extremely depressed when my grandpa passed. ... Music is the only thing that makes him really happy and calm again." The heartwarming scene was captured on January 11, 2021.
