Armed Black Lives Matter Terrorists Shoot Random Driver in Provo Utah... The level of cultural Marxism within the media reports is even more significant than ever before. U.S. media are trying to protect the domestic terrorists. It is quite unnerving. In Provo, Utah, a group of armed Black Lives Matter terrorists surrounded a vehicle at an intersection. The driver would not exit the vehicle to be beaten by the mob. One of the BLM activists pulled a gun and demanded the driver come out, when the driver refused the terrorist opened fire shooting the driver. The driver hits the gas and tries to escape, the terrorist fires through the rear window as another armed terrorist joins the fray from the opposite side of the street. According to local media, police are determining whether to charge the driver of the vehicle for not complying with the mob's demand for the beating; thereby putting the other terrorists at risk. "It's unclear if the driver of the SUV who was shot is facing any possible charge for driving through the protesters after being shot." Here's an enhanced video of the incident: . . UTAH - "Several protesters began crowding around the vehicle," said John Geyerman, Provo Police deputy chief. "The male protester ran toward the SUV on the passenger side, pointed a handgun at the driver, and shot one round through the window. Houston mother brutally attacked while unloading groceries

The Houston Police Department is trying to identify a man seen in surveillance video assaulting and robbing a mother while her young son stands closely by. The video released by the department's robbery division shows the suspect run and punch the mother in the face, causing her to fall to the ground. The suspect then continues to assault her while she's on the ground. he man was one of two suspects who pulled up to the complex in a white four-door Nissan. After attacking the woman, the video shows the man grab the mother's purse and then run back into the Nissan, which then sped away. Police say the attack happened while the mother was unloading groceries at an apartment complex near 7000 Renwick Dr. The suspect's face and vehicle are clearly visible in the video. Police say the Nissan is very recognizable; it's missing both rear hubcaps, has paper plates, has minor front passenger side fender damage, a small dent near the back right passenger door, different style front left and front right tires, and does not have any stickers on the windshield.

The city released a trove of documents and footage Monday related to the incident last October in which former Chicago Police Supt. Eddie Johnson was found asleep at the wheel of his SUV near his home in Bridgeport. Among the materials released was a bodycam video from one of the officers who discovered Johnson in his SUV near 34th Place and Aberdeen shortly after midnight on Oct. 17, 2019. The footage shows two officers walking up to Johnson's SUV, one on each side. Johnson can be seen in the driver's seat with his eyes closed as one of the officers shines a flashlight inside. The officer knocked on the window, saying: "Sir? Sir? You alright? You good? Got your ID?" After several seconds, Johnson pulls out some form of identification and holds it up to the window. The officer who knocked on the window then asks: "You just sitting here or you wanna go home?" Johnson replies: "I'm good." The officer then says: "You good? Alright, sir. Have a good night." The officer then walked away and turned off his camera without making Johnson undergo any field sobriety tests. The incident - which Johnson initially attributed to a change in his medication - proved to be the downfall of the former superintendent. Mayor Lori Lightfoot said Johnson later admitted to her that he was out to dinner with friends and had a few drinks before dismissing his driver and taking himself home. Lightfoot soon fired Johnson - a month before he was scheduled to retire after more than 30 years with the CPD - saying he had lied to her and the public about what happened that night. While investigating the failure to administer the sobriety test and whether rules were bent to protect the boss, sources have told the Sun-Times that Inspector General Joe Ferguson may have found evidence of a cover-up by others in the Police Department. Sources say Ferguson's report on the alleged cover-up of the Johnson incident has been completed and turned over to the Law Department. The Sun-Times has filed a Freedom of Information request for the inspector general's follow-up report. But the Lightfoot administration denied the request. That's even though the mayor persuaded the City Council to approve an ordinance allowing release of those reports. "Summary reports of OIG investigations are prohibited from release under FOIA. Under the Municipal Code, at the discretion of the Corporation Counsel, to be eligible for release a summary report must contain sustained findings of conduct that either is associated with a death, or is or may be a felony, as defined in the Illinois Criminal Code and is of a compelling public interest," Law Department spokesperson Kathleen Fieweger wrote in an email to the Sun-Times. The Sun-Times has reported that, rather than having "a couple of drinks" during a "dinner with friends," as Johnson told the mayor, he spent three hours drinking at a restaurant known for serving tall drinks with a woman whom he had promoted to his security detail shortly after becoming superintendent. After leaving Ceres Cafe, Johnson drove his police SUV to police headquarters and dropped off the woman, sources said. He tried to drive to his Bridgeport home but was found asleep with the engine running around 12:30 a.m. in the 3400 block of South Aberdeen. In a statement issued the day after his firing, Johnson said he did "not intentionally mislead or deceive the mayor or the people of Chicago." "I acknowledge that I made a poor decision and had a lapse of judgment on the night of Oct. 16. That was a mistake and I know that. However, I have no interest in fighting a battle for my reputation with those that want to question it now," Johnson was quoted as saying. "Reputations are not built in a day and not damaged in a day, either. They are the result of years of living. We reap what we sow in this world. I will simply rely on the reputation for integrity that I think I have earned during my long career with the faith that we should all be judged by the entirety of our lives and not on what happened on our worst days."

Police in San Diego shot and critically wounded a robbery suspect who they said took out a gun from his waistband and pointed it at an officer who tried to engage him. The shooting on a downtown sidewalk shortly before 6 p.m. Saturday sparked immediate anger among protesters, who marched through the streets Sunday demanding police release footage of the encounter from officer body-worn cameras. The San Diego Police Department later Sunday released the two officers' body camera videos of the shooting, as well as videos from nearby security and street-light cameras. The videos show the man, dressed in a red track suit, walking out of a building onto a sidewalk as he holds a bag that appears to be full. Two officers on patrol recognized the man from a wanted flyer circulating about a robbery suspect, police Capt. Rich Freedman said. The videos then show an officer on the sidewalk and one on the street asking the man to talk to them. The man drops the bag, starts walking away, and then pulls an object out of the waistband of his pants and points it at the officer on the street, the videos show. The officers yell "Stop! Stop!" and then fire their guns at him, the videos show, The man falls on the sidewalk, and the officers run up to him and handcuff him as he lay bleeding. The officers then try to revive him and check his pulse, the videos show. The department also tweeted Sunday a photo of the gun that the officers said was wrapped in camouflage cloth. "Fearing they were going to be shot, the officers returned fire," Freedman said. The man, identified as 25-year-old Leonardo Hurtado Ibarra, was taken to a hospital, where he remained Sunday in the intensive care unit, police said. The officers were placed on administrative, per standard protocol, as police investigate the shootings. The U.S. Attorney's Office and FBI will also monitor the investigation.

A man has been shot dead at a Breonna Taylor protest in Louisville after a white man opened fire on peaceful demonstrators in a crowded park, according to local police. At least two people were shot - one fatally - in the incident at Jefferson Square Park in downtown Louisville, Kentucky, at around 9 p.m. Saturday. SDPD officers shoot armed man wanted for robbery

The San Diego Police Department has identified the suspect who was shot by two uniformed police officers Saturday night. In a release sent Sunday, Lt. Matt Dobbs said the suspect has been identified as Leonardo Hurtado Ibarra, 25, of San Diego. Ibarra remains in the Intensive Care Unit with life- threatening injuries, according to Dobbs. Two San Diego Police Department officers have been placed on paid leave after they shot and wounded a man who pointed a gun at one of the officers during a confrontation in downtown Saturday night. According to witnesses, shots rang out around 6 p.m. near the corner of 6th Avenue and B Street, a few blocks east of the San Diego Civic Center. SDPD said that officers spotted a man wanted in connection with a robbery that happened earlier this week. Police said officers tried to talk with the man but he walked away. The man then dropped some items from his arms and "reached into his waistband." "He produced a handgun and then pointed it at the officers" said SDPD Capt. Rich Freedman. "For fear that they were going to be shot, the officers return fire." A gun has been recovered from the scene, police said. Police said the man was wounded and transported to a hospital with unknown injuries. According to police, the man was having surgery late Saturday night. The man was described as a 25-year-old Hispanic male. SDPD said he was wanted for a robbery that happened June 21. SDPD tweeted a grainy still image taken from a nearby surveillance camera showing at least one officer with their gun drawn and a man dressed in red pointing an object at the officer. The object the man is holding isn't clear in the photograph. A second officer is also seen in the still image. Protesters gathered in the area, yelling at officers and holding signs demanding justice. "We are asking for them to be who they say they are which is trust transparency building relationships, and we have not seen that yet," said activist Tasha Williamson. "That is why we are out here by the hundreds and the thousands and we're going to continue to be out here." The officers involved in the shooting are on paid administrative leave while the investigation is conducted, which is standard protocol.

CPD releases body cam video of 2019 officer-involved shooting

Body camera video of an officer-involved shooting from 2019 between a Columbia police officer and Sir Brandon Legette was released during a press conference on June 26 by Legette's attorneys, as well as the Columbia Police Department later on Friday afternoon. Legette's attorney, Marc Brown, only shared a portion of the footage from the body camera of Officer Sean Rollins, saying that it showed Legette was not resisting arrest and that the shooting was not necessary. Hours later, the Columbia Police Department released the entire body camera footage, as well as the dash cam footage, from the beginning to the end of the incident. CPD also released its own statement, saying Brown's news conference was misleading. "Based on the facts of this case and given the current climate of our country, the narrative provided during that press conference was inaccurate, incomplete, and irresponsible," a spokeswoman for CPD said. On August 24, 2019, around 3 a.m., officers with CPD attempted to pull over Legette in the Food Lion parking lot on Broad River Road. Legette had just gotten off work from his second job at that grocery store. Officials say that after checking Legette's name and information, officers determined he was driving under suspension and had two warrants stemming from a robbery that took place on August 8. Legette says during his interaction with the officers, one of them, Rollins, jumped into his car and the car ended up traveling 150 yards across the parking lot where it ran down an embankment and came to a complete stop. Legette's lawyer showed a few still images claiming Rollins was completely inside the vehicle when it began to roll. Brown said Rollins' body camera fell off and was lying faceup on the floor of the car once the car hit the embankment. The video CPD released shows Rollins repeatedly asking Legette to exit his vehicle before trying to grab his arm and pull him out of the vehicle. At that point, the video shows Rollins partially in the car, before the car begins to move and Rollins begins screaming for Legette to stop the vehicle. CPD says Legette actually pulled Rollins into the car and took off across the parking lot "at a high rate of speed" with Rollins hanging partially outside the vehicle. In their statement, CPD says Legette purposefully drove down the embankment and crashed his car, causing the air bags to deploy. Once the car hit the embankment, Brown said Legette was laying facedown across the center console of his car with his arms above his head, and seconds later, Brown said Rollins hit Legette twice in the back of the head with his firearm and then shot him in the back of the head. "The airbags deployed, Brandon was compliant, the officer had complete control of his firearm, complete control of Brandon and the situation, but unfortunately he did not have complete control of himself. And he attempted to execute Brandon," Brown said. CPD says Legette and Rollins kept struggling after the crash and that's why Rollins fired his weapon.

Nike Reports Profit Loss of $790 Million

and a Year-Over-Year Sales Decline of 38% (46% in U.S.)... . . There is a lot of weird financial data in/around Nike that is coming to a head. For those who track issues closely, Nike is using the COVID-19 issues to hide the Kaepernick effect. Everyone remembers Nike went all-in on their social justice model and made a corporate decision to make the Black Lives Matter activist Colin Kaepernick the image of their brand. . . . In their latest financial results Nike is reporting a net quarterly loss of $790 million.... That's a big deal. However, given the defensive excuses over the COVID-19 shutdown, that loss alone isn't the big story. Their year-over-year sales are down 38%, which tells us the downward spiral has been happening for a lot longer than a quarter. How bad were their results? To give you some perspective most financial analysts in the industry were looking for a profit target around seven cents per share. The result Nike reported was a loss of 51 cents per share. That is a massive disparity. . What Nike was doing in much of last year was hiding and deferring income losses due to sales declines. They did this because the larger goal was to hide the impact of their branding shift. Nike didn't want people to know how much backlash they faced, so they used every mechanism possible including inventory manipulation to avoid showing losses. However, as with all revenue and profit hiding schemes inside large corporations (and there are many that can be used) eventually you run out of ways to hide profit losses as a result of top-line collapses. Eventually inventories are trued up; eventually supplies need to be replenished; eventually extended -and or renegotiated- vendor payments need to be made; eventually it's going to catch up to you. . . Nike saw the COVID-19 economic contraction as a way to hide a top-line and bottom-line collapse that has very little to do with the coronavirus. COVID-19 is their cover, not the principle cause. Evidence to support is found in the action that Nike takes after releasing their $790 million profit loss. Remember, this bottom line loss is the direct result of the top line collapse. The raw material doesn't cost more (it's actually less); inflation didn't chew up their import pricing (it's actually less); they are buying in dollars which are actually stronger; energy costs are not higher (they are actually less) and Nike has not been hurt by tariffs because Chinese devaluation of currency (beyond the tariff cost) has actually helped raise the profit equation for many importers. This loss is all about the top line. Nike immediately responds by saying: . . Notice how everything in those statements seems to contradict itself and provides no clarity as to why such a stunning loss would be recorded? Again, my hunch is that Nike has been playing 'hide the loss' ever since their stupid business decision to rebrand as apparel only for social justice warriors. Nike purposefully cut-out half the population of their largest market in order to virtue signal to their leftist peers and retain cocktail party invitations. Consequences from those painfully stupid -and brutally political- mistakes cannot be avoided forever. That's the larger background. Here's an example of a company that will not put themselves in the same position of vulnerability; and it is not coincidental their announcement comes out immediately following the Nike report. Sword-wielding man arrested after police shooting

Metro Police continue to investigate an officer-involved shooting that happened near West Lake Mead Boulevard and Tonopah Drive on June 22. According to LVMPD, a man wielding a sword was shot and injured by police Monday morning. Thursday at 4:30 p.m., Assistant Sheriff Christopher Jones discussed additional details of the June 22 officer-involved shooting in a news briefing at LVMPD's Headquarters. No officers were injured during the incident that occurred on Citrus Hills Avenue, near Lake Mead and Tonopah Drive. Everything unfolded when police say a call came in around 10 a.m. Monday morning about a person waving a sword, being aggressive and acting agitated. Several agencies responded to the scene, including SWAT, NHP and Las Vegas Fire & Rescue. When officers arrived at the scene, they observed a man with a sword slung behind his back yelling in a downstairs outside balcony. Metro said officers backed off and began a dialog with the suspect and were attempting to deescalate the situation. However, after several minutes, the suspect pulled out a firearm and aimed it towards the officers. The incident was then treated as a barricade situation and SWAT and crisis negotiators responded to the scene. Approximately three hours later, Metro said the suspect was taken into custody and transported to UMC where he was treated for minor injuries.

"Gus" had been hiding from law enforcement, threatening his neighbors with a firearm, threatening to harm to law enforcement and basically being a very dangerous bully. Deputy Lockhart saw him driving and attempted a traffic stop. Gus, not being a law-abiding citizen, fled until he crashed his car. Gussy was captured and found to be armed with a handgun. Sheriff Woods had directed numerous deputies to search for this suspect over the last couple weeks. Deputies and detectives along with members of local police and federal law enforcement officers, launched a search.....a "relentless" search for Gus. Sheriff Woods said, "To any wanna-be criminals. Colorado's governor announced the state will look at the Elijah McClain investigation

Colorado's governor announced Wednesday afternoon that the state would be looking into a case centered around the death of a man in Aurora following an incident involving police and paramedics. Elijah McClain, 23, was walking home at night in August of 2019. The Aurora Police Department received a 911 call where the caller described a "suspicious person". The caller reported an adult male was walking on Billings Street near East Colfax Avenue, wearing a ski mask and flailing his arms at the caller. Police reported in an online blog that officers tried to make contact with McClain. "The male began to resist the officer contact, a struggle then ensued, and he was taken into custody," police wrote in the blog. "Aurora Fire Rescue administered a standard medication to reduce Mr. McClain's agitation. He was then transported to a local hospital where tragically he died days later." You can watch body camera footage released by Aurora Police in November of 2019 at the bottom of this article of the incident. McClain was unarmed and police used force after making contact with him. "I am hearing from many Coloradans who have expressed concerns with the investigation of Elijah McClain's death," Gov. Jared Polis wrote on Twitter Wednesday afternoon. "As a result, I have instructed my legal council to examine what the state can do and we are assessing next steps. Public confidence in our law enforcement process is incredibly important now more than ever. A fair and objective process free from real or perceived bias for investigating officer-involved killings is critical." McClain's name is among those being shouted during protests in Colorado that started with the death of George Floyd in Minnesota. Floyd, a black man, died after a Minneapolis police officer was recorded putting a on his neck for almost nine minutes. The officer has since been fired and charged with murder. No charges have been filed in McClain's case.

Body cam footage released of deadly police involved shooting in Essex, Maryland

The Baltimore County Police Department released the body-worn camera video from the May 16 officer-involved shooting of an armed 29-year-old man in the unit block of Skipjack Court. The suspect is identified as Robert Johnson Jr (29) of the unit block of Championship Court, 21117. Police Officer First Class Knight, a 24-year veteran of the force, responded to a call for a nuisance at 10:42 p.m involving a crowd of people in the parking lot in the unit block of Skipjack Court, 21221. When Knight arrived, he saw a green Buick being driven erratically by Robert Johnson Jr. The Buick had struck several parked cars in the area. Officer Knight called for backup as he tried to make contact with Johnson. As Johnson exited the vehicle, he dropped what appeared to be a handgun, but then immediately retrieved it. Commands given by Officer Knight were ignored and the officer then fired at the suspect. The suspect then began to flee from the officer toward other townhomes, police said. Knight again fired at Johnson, this time striking him. He then immediately called for medics. Once the scene was secure, they gave Johnson aid and he was taken to Shock Trauma, where he later died. Officer Knight has been cleared of any criminal charges by the Baltimore County State's Attorney's Office. Officer Knight is presently on routine administrative leave.

Bodycam captures dramatic rescue from fiery truck crash

The Stanislaus County Sheriff's Office released body camera footage, showing the moments when Deputy Saul McNaul and Good Samaritan John Phelps rushed to the rescue after seeing a pickup truck veer off the road and burst into flames. The incident happened on June 21 around 2:40 p.m. while the deputy was patrolling in the Knight's Ferry area around Highway 120/108 near Willms Road. Body Cam Footage Show State Rep Assisting Officer, Helping to Defuse Arrest of Suspected Shoplifter

Body camera footage from the Valdosta Police Department shows a Georgia state representative and another man intervene in an arrest of a shoplifting suspect and assist the officer who drew his duty weapon after the suspect attempted to take the officer's Taser. The story, which was first reported in The Georgia Gazette, begins with the pursuit of a man suspected of shoplifting in the City of Valdosta in Lowndes County. According to police reports, in April 2019, police were dispatched to a Dollar General after a man, later identified as Mohamed B. A. Mboup, was believed to have shoplifted a number of items. Valdosta Police Officer Kristopher Siren encountered Mboup in a parking lot and began giving verbal commands to Mboup, who fled on foot and would not stop until he ran into a post, which caused him to fall to the ground. Siren's report stated that he attempted to use his radio to contact dispatch, but his radio had been turned off. Mboup returned to his feet and began running again before he fell down once more. Mboup then attempted to fight Officer Siren, striking him a number of times before Siren tried to deploy his Taser. Body camera footage shows Mboup grab Siren's Taser and attempt to pull it away from Siren, at which point Siren draws his duty weapon, prompting Mboup to flee again. The Taser was left on the ground as Siren pursued Mboup, who fell to the ground a final time. In his report, which is supported by body camera footage, Siren "straddled Mboup and applied pressure on a pressure point near the left side of his throat to gain compliance and he continued to resist." At this point, two men enter the view of the body camera footage and one identifies himself as a state representative. He tells the officer he is going to help. The elected official, later identified as State Representative Dexter Sharper, straddled Mboup himself and assisted in handcuffing the suspect as another bystander pleaded with Mboup to comply. "You don't wanna get shot man, just relax. Relax!" the other man says. "We're gonna help you, but you gotta listen," Sharper tells the man as he restrains him. The other bystander tells Mboup he will call whoever he needs to call, but to relax and comply with what's being told to him. As other officers arrive on the scene and further restrain Mboup, Officer Siren walks away to catch his breath. Mboup was charged with shoplifting and two counts of obstructing a law enforcement officer. He was ultimately sentenced to five years probation for his offenses. The release of the video comes amid times of heavy criticism of policies and procedures of law enforcement agencies and the day after the Georgia legislature passed a hate crimes bill and a measure on the Peace Officers Bill of Rights. Sharper supported the former but opposed the Peace Officers Bill of Rights legislation. The Democratic lawmaker, who was elected in 2012, is listed as a consultant and a paramedic on the House website. Stranded villagers rescued after check dam overflows in western India

Fourteen villagers were rescued by emergency crews after floodwater from a dam imprisoned them in their own homes amid heavy rains in Gujarat, western India. The incident took place on June 22 in the small village of Mandvi, Kutch district. According to reports, after the check dam in Bhasar started to overflow, nearby became homes inundated with water, trapping many residents. Footage shows emergency crews using a rope to rescue the trapped villagers, including a young child and an elderly woman. There were no reports of casualties.

Every other August, dozens of volunteers gather near the Grand Place in Brussels to compose a 19,000-square-foot, floral rug that blankets the central square. The massive installation is woven with one million begonias-a hearty flower that Belgium is the largest producer of worldwide-that last just four days before wilting. Although the 2020 edition of the "Flower Carpet" event has been postponed, Berlin-based Joerg Daiber, of Spoon Film, captured the 2018 iteration in a short timelapse that shows how the vibrant tapestry is fabricated. Daiber adds a bit of whimsy to his film, though, with a tilt-shift effect, which makes all the volunteers, spectators, and surrounding architecture appear as miniatures. Woman faces charges after assaulting wife, firing shots in air at Orange convenience store

An Orange County woman is facing assault and family violence charges after firing shots into the air during a fight with her wife Monday morning at a convenience store in Orange. City of Orange Police officers were sent to the Valero convenience store in the 2300 block of Lutcher Drive alongside eastbound Interstate 10 at about 10:15 a.m. Monday after shots were fired at the store. Police arrested Elizabeth Williams-Chargois, 32, on charges of aggravated assault and family violence after she fired two shots in the air inside and outside of the store according to the Orange Police Department. A store manager told 12News that Williams-Chargois' wife was inside the store playing an 8-liner when Williams-Chargois came inside and told her to leave. When her wife didn't leave Wiliams-Chargois went outside and got a gun the manager said. She fired once in the air outside the store and once into the air inside the store according to the manager. Surveillance video inside the store caught the incident and showed the women fighting in the store's gaming area before Wiliams-Chargois left to get the gun. No one was injured.

Woman Purposefully Coughs In Face Of Baby

San Jose Police were looking for the public's help in identifying a woman who purposefully coughed in the face of a toddler who was in a stroller while waiting in line at a yogurt shop. The incident happened Friday afternoon at Yogurtland on the 5600 block of Cottle Road in South San Jose. The unidentified woman believed to be in her 60s is seen on surveillance video waiting in front another woman and a one-year-old sitting in a stroller. Police said a preliminary investigation determined the older woman was upset the woman and the stroller were not maintaining proper social distancing. After some sort of verbal interaction, the suspect is seen taking off her face mask, bending over close to the baby's face, and coughing several times. The suspect left the business and was not found. She was described as white, wearing a gray bandanna, glasses, a long-sleeved shirt with gray vertical lines, white dress pants and patterned tennis shoes.

UPDATED NUBERS: 106 Shot, 14 Fatally, in Deadly Father's Day Weekend Across Chicago Chicago police say that 14 people, including a 3-year-old boy and multiple teenagers, were killed and at least 90 others have been wounded in shootings across the city over the course of a violent and deadly weekend. The shootings are largely suspected to be gang/drug related The fatal shootings of the weekend occurred as follows, according to police: -At approximately 9:52 p.m. Friday, a group was standing outside in the 4800 block of West Gladys in the Austin neighborhood when a car pulled up and someone inside opened fire, striking three men. A 34-year-old man was shot in the neck and taken to Stroger Hospital where he was pronounced dead. A 43-year-old man was shot in the lower back and took himself to Mount Sinai Hospital in fair condition. A 34-year-old man was shot in the foot and remains in stable condition at West Suburban Medical Center in Oak Park. -At around 10:24 p.m. Friday, a 32-year-old man was shot multiple times inside his vehicle in the 4100 block of West Congress Parkway in the Garfield Park neighborhood. He was taken to Stroger Hospital where he later died, authorities said. -On Saturday evening, a 3-year-old was shot and killed while riding in a vehicle in the Austin neighborhood on the city's West Side, police officials said. The shooting was reported at approximately 6:30 p.m. in the 600 block of North Central Avenue in the Austin neighborhood. A 27-year-old man told police he was driving southbound on Central Avenue when an unknown occupant inside of a blue Honda fired shots, striking him and his 3-year-old male passenger.The young child sustained a gunshot wound to the back and was taken to West Suburban Medical Center in Oak Park where he was pronounced dead. -Just over an hour later, also in Austin, a 27-year-old male was shot and killed at approximately 7:46 p.m. in the 200 block of North Central Avenue, police officials said. The victim sustained a gunshot wound to the torso and was transported to West Suburban Medical Center where he was later pronounced dead. A second male victim, 32 years old, suffered a gunshot wound to the left foot and was said to be in good condition at the hospital. -At approximately 6:58 p.m. Saturday in the 1900 block of North Western Avenue in the Logan Square neighborhood, one man was shot and killed and another was injured following an argument with a group of individuals, police said. A 23-year-old male sustained a gunshot wound to the neck and was pronounced dead on scene. The second victim, a 24-year-old man, suffered a gunshot wound to the arm and went to Saint Mary's Hospital where he was listed in stable condition. -Two teens were fatally shot at around 5:10 p.m. on Saturday in an alley in the 7900 block of South Luella in the South Chicago neighborhood, police said. The 17-year-old male victim sustained a gunshot wound to the back, chest and left hand, and was taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center where he was pronounced. The 16-year-old male victim also died at the hospital. -A 13-year-old girl was killed while inside a home in a shooting that left two other teens wounded in the Austin neighborhood Saturday evening, according to police. At around 8:36 p.m. in the 1000 block of North Leclaire, two male teenagers were sitting on a porch when police said one noticed a red laser pointed at him and heard multiple gunshots. The 16-year-old boy was shot in the leg and the 15-year-old boy was shot in the lower back, officials said. Both were taken to Mount Sinai in good condition. A 13-year-old girl who was inside the resident at the time was shot in the right side of her neck and taken to Stroger Hospital, where she died early Sunday, authorities said. -In the 2600 block of West Potomac in West Town at approximately 12:04 a.m. Sunday, a group of men were in a verbal altercation with another group when someone began firing shots, police said. A 41-year-old man was shot multiple times throughout the body and pronounced dead at the scene. A 23-year-old man was shot in the left knee and hip as a 21-year-old man was shot in each leg. Both were taken to Stroger Hospital in good condition. A 34-year-old man was shot in the same scene in his legs and arms, then taken to Mount Sinai hospital where he has been released. -At approximately 7:20 p.m. Sunday in the 6200 block of North Troy, a man was shot and killed when an unknown suspect approached him and fired shots, police stated. The victim was taken to AMITA Health Saint Francis Hospital Evanston where he was pronounced dead. -Two teenage boys were shot, one fatally, at around 12:18 a.m. Monday, according to police. The two were walking in an alley in the 4700 block of West Superior when someone inside a vehicle, possibly a gray sedan, opened fire. A 15-year-old boy was shot in the leg, chest and abdomen and was taken to Stroger Hospital where he was pronounced dead. A 16-year-old boy was shot in the ankle and taken to Stroger Hospital in fair condition, officials said. -At around 4:26 a.m. Monday, a 41-year-old man was on the street in the 3800 block of West Harrison when an unknown assailant shot him in the face, police said. He was taken to Stroger Hospital where he died at around 5:21 a.m., officials said. A person of interest was taken into custody for questioning after being identified as the possible offender by individuals near the scene, according to police. -A 30-year-old man was walking in the 100 block of South Washtenaw at around 4:18 a.m. when someone in the alley opened fire. He was shot in the neck and taken to Stroger Hospital where he was pronounced dead, according to police. -At around 6:45 a.m., a 24-year-old man was dropped off at Mount Sinai by an unknown person, according to police. He had sustained a gunshot wound to his upper right chest and was pronounced dead, officials say.

Police Officer In Viral Off-Duty Incident Has Been Relieved of Duty

A local off-duty police officer seen in a video yelling at a man has been relieved from duties while the incident is investigated, according to the St. Joseph Police Department. The off-duty officer seen in the video is Brandon Harrison of the St. Joseph Police Department, according to a press release from police officials. He can be heard at one point seeming to threaten the other man, who asks if officers should behave that way. "I'm not working right now, I'm on vacation. I will (expletive) you up," Harrison said to the man. In the video, Harrison accuses the man of hitting his car and says he witnessed it and then alleges that the man is lying to the uniformed officer. "You don't lie to her about that ... I just watched you hit me," Harrison can be heard saying in the video, which contained profanity. "Tell that to a ... judge and see who they ... believe." Capt. Jeff Wilson of the SJPD said he could not go into details about the incident while the investigation is ongoing, but he said a vehicle was struck. Officials did not say when the incident happened. The man in the video, who has not been identified officially, does sit when he is told to by the uniformed officer. He also requests to have a sheriff's deputy on the scene and asks the uniformed officer to stop getting in his vehicle. A press release sent to News-Press NOW from Wilson states that an investigation is underway. It added that Harrison has been moved to non-police duties. "The details of this incident are currently being investigated by the department and the involved officer has been relieved from official police duties and placed on administrative duty, pending the outcome of the investigation," it reads. The department also commented on the responsibility to police professionally in the statement. "Police officers are the most conspicuous representatives of government and, to the majority of people, they are a symbol of stability and authority upon which they can rely," the release states. "Unbecoming conduct on the part of police officers adversely affects the operations of the department and ultimately destroys public confidence in it. All matters involving officer misconduct allegations are and will be investigated by the department." Harrison has been a member of the St. Joseph Police Department since January of last year. No records of tickets or a probable cause statement were available at the Buchanan County courthouse regarding the incident Monday, but an employee of the City Prosecutor's Office said tickets sometimes take several days to process.

More Faux Outrage - Felony Traffic Stop Involving Stolen Vehicle

TIME FOR A NATIONWIDE OUTBREAK OF THE BLUE FLU There is a post circulating on social media that misrepresents the facts of a recent felony traffic stop of an occupied stolen vehicle. On Thursday at 4:52 p.m., a Tampa police officer was traveling southbound on N 40th St approaching Hanna Ave when he observed a 2020 black Nissan Altima with two occupants. A check of the tag revealed the vehicle was reported stolen out of the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office. The officer conducted a felony traffic stop on the stolen vehicle and awaited backup prior to approaching the car, all while calmly explaining each step to the occupants. When backup officers arrived, they approached the car. The driver and the passenger were both taken into custody without incident. The driver had reportedly just arrived home on leave from the US Army and borrowed the car from an acquaintance. The driver and passenger were both cooperative. Upon completing the investigation, the driver and passenger were released and appeared to understand the explanation provided by the officers. The stolen vehicle was impounded. The occupants were not charged. At no time was the driver ever "smashed into the car", nor was "a gun pointed to (the driver's) head", regardless of the false narrative presented on social media. Traffic stops are one of the most dangerous events an officer can conduct in the line of duty. Performing a traffic stop on a stolen vehicle only increases the potential for danger to an officer. There is no way to know who is in the stolen vehicle at the time of the stop, or what their intentions may be. In this case, the officer followed textbook procedures for a felony traffic stop of an occupied stolen vehicle; remaining calm but cautious, while providing clear information to the occupants of what was happening and what was expected as backup officers arrived.
