Caught on camera: security guards attacking two truckers in Olive Branch, Mississippi. The video has gone viral on social media. The husband and wife say they've been truckers for almost 15 years, but when they went to pick up a load at Metro foods, they never expected one of them would end up in the hospital and the other in jail. Photos of Clinton Kirker taken shortly after the September attack show bruises and cuts. Surveillance footage from the security gate show Kirker and his wife Shannon being attacked by several security guards. "He didn't have a right to touch me, neither guard had a right to do what they did to me," said Clinton Kirker. Kirker says when they pulled up to the facility, he initially sensed something was wrong. Security inspected under his truck and wanted he and his wife to exit the cab one at a time. He was told several times to keep his hands out of his pockets, but Kirker admits he put his hands back in his pockets out of habit, and after several minutes they decided they should just leave the property. They say that's when they were attacked. "We started walking back to the truck and that's when the guard stepped in front of me and said, 'you can't leave yet.' I told him 'I'm leaving. I can leave.' He said, 'no, you can't,'" said Kirker. What he didn't know at the time is that while Metro Foods distributes food to grocery stores, Metro Logics is also run out of the facility. It stores pharmaceuticals and has received $160-million in government contracts to store vaccines. "I saw it said Metro Food/Metro Logics. I had no idea it would be any sort of secure facility," said Kirker. Kirker recently found out what he was supposed to transport. "It was pharmaceuticals for the CDC. I wouldn't have taken the load had I known that," said Kirker. The Local I -Team has learned the security guards that beat the couple work for Paragon Security. Paragon is a contractor that provides security to the federal government, and they prefer hiring people with prior military and combat experience. That could be why the Kirkers says the guards acted the way they did. "It's unlawful what they did to us," said Shannon Kirker. Clinton Kirker faces a judge this week on charges of disorderly conduct and assault charges. He posted the video on social media and websites so the world can see how the trucking team was treated.
