Chilling CCTV footage shows a tourist's final moments - fighting with an off-duty Thai policeman who gave chase and shot him dead. Djamel Malik, 41, had been drinking all night at the 'Lucky Shot' bar on the bustling Sukhumvit Road, Soi 11, when he started arguing with Senior Sergeant Khantaphong Huadsri at 7am on Tuesday morning. French-Algerian Malik allegedly became angry after his Thai girlfriend started talking with Huadsri and the two men began throwing punches at each other. Security cameras show how the two men scuffled, before Malik walked away - then started running as Huadsri gave chase with his .45 handgun. Huadsri followed Malik into the foyer of the well known 'Trendy Building' on the adjacent street after a 500 metre chase. He then opened fire - hitting Malik in the head and shoulder. The incident happened on an area of the Sukhumvit Road which has thousands of bars, massage parlours and clubs which stay open until the early hours of the morning. Police said the argument started when both men ''were very drunk''.
