At least four people have been killed in violence that's marred Bangladesh's first properly contested elections in a decade. More than a hundred million people are eligible to vote in the poll, which is widely expected to give Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina a third term of office. The deadly clashes took place in the southeast of the country between workers from Hasina's ruling Awami League and the opposition Bangladesh Nationalist Party. The Awami League has overseen strong economic growth but has been accused of suppressing dissent. The BNP boycotted elections four years ago.
