New Orleans, LA - A supermarket store owner and an accused shoplifter exchanged gunfire Thursday in New Orleans, police said. The shootout erupted about 1 p.m. at the North Broad Supermarket in the 1900 block of North Broad Street.According to police, the accused shoplifter was asked to leave the store on multiple occasions. He returned Thursday armed with a gun. Police said the store owner grabbed his weapon and a gun battle ensued inside the store. The super predator fled the scene and no injuries were reported.
