Fort Lauderdale, FL - A Fort Lauderdale Police officer was forced to shoot a vehicle's tire out after a man went on a reckless drive. According to police, 36-year-old Sheldon Adderly was driving erratically into a heavily crowded area. Witnesses in the area were shocked, and one caught the whole incident on camera. Adderly got into a pedestrian area and started driving into a closed barricaded street when officers apprehended him.The driver then jumped out of the car and ran down the street, where police were able to take him down for an arrest. He is being charged with assault on a police/firefighter, resisting arrest and reckless driving.He has not yet been booked because he is currently hospitalized.
