One of the Queen's Guards took an unfortunate tumble outside Buckingham Palace during the Changing of the Guard, which takes place daily at 11:30 a.m. local time, weather permitting
"I didn't expect anything like this to happen — he went flying," says David Meadwell, who recorded the video from the crowd, according to The Telegraph . "There were quite a few people around and there were a lot of gasps as he went down."
The soldier may have slipped as a result of the metal protectors nailed to the soles of his shoes, the paper reported. The guard quickly regained his composure and, most importantly, didn't loose his trademark bearskin hat. Read more...
