Earth Day, sobering truth.

In honor of earth day, I thought I would try and induce a conversation, based on fact, not fiction. For the last 25 years, we have been lied too, repeatedly, by those in power and others with an agenda. Lets start with some facts, and this is aimed at Americans, but applies globally. Fact. Before man ever arrived on the planet, the earth went through extreme temperature changes. The US was once a tropical zone, covered in water for the most part, with heavy vegetation of tropical zones. This was a very life filled era, thousands of species thrived in both the shallow sea, and on land. Why was the earth so warm? Not man. Then we had an ice age, where most of the continent, that now makes up the US and Canada, was covered in ice, so thick and heavy, with slow moving glaciers that carved up the land. Today, the Great Lakes are there because of the tremendous weight of the glaciers that once covered them, and the water in the lakes, is from the dent left by the glaciers that melted, so long ago. The ground is currently rebounding upwards, so long after the ice disappeared. What caused the ice age? Was it man? Nope. What caused it to warm up, and the glaciers to retreat back to the poles? Man? Nope. In the early 1970's, climate scientists warned of an impending ice age, this went on until the early 80's,then vanished. Probably out of embarrassment, it just went away. Then we went through a decade of economic growth and renewal, digging the US economy out of a terrible recession after a failed presidency of the peanut farmer. Industry grew, regulations were pulled back, and the people thrived. Then, in the 1990's, we had a new ecological challenger, and they named it "global warming". This was the brain child of shoddy science, and the ever guilt ridden left, that has the narcissistic belief that we humans are so powerful, we can defy nature. They started beating their guilty drums, with pride, about changing the planets future, saving it from the fallacy of man. With a steady stream of prideful guilt, they pointed their elitist fingers at industry, and demanded government regulations to stop the impending meltdown of mother earth. In their endless campaign of prideful guilt, they warned us of the rising heat, based on evidence of questionable integrity, and tried to frighten us with doomsday warnings of mans murder of the planet. The government capitulated, the EPA grew exponentially, both in size and power, and regulations started their stranglehold on our economy. The US has gone from a manufacturing monster, to a service only economy. We make very little at home anymore. Over regulation, unions, and left leaning ideology has destroyed the American manufacturing economy. Ridiculous union wage demands, coupled with EPA regulation, has made the US discard there very thing that made it great. Tie in the fact that the US has one of the highest corporate tax rates in the western world, we have collectively shot ourselves in the foot, actually, BOTH FEET. Companies could no longer compete in the world market, and did what any smart person would do. They closed their plants, sold off what was inside, and let thousands upon thousands of workers go. These same workers, who demanded 70 dollars an hour, to turn nuts with pneumatic wrenches, cried foul. You idiots, you did this to yourselves, stop complaining for being stupid. These companies opened up shop, in countries that offer much better tax incentives, and much looser regulation, allowing the companies to offer their products at lower cost, yet higher profit, than they would have if they remained in the US. Soon, the "global warming" drummers, were humiliated repeatedly, with their protests on April mornings, while snow fell into their dirty dreadlocks, and making their berkenstock toes turn blue. They usually abandoned their protests, before the media arrived, but not before a few were caught on tape with their printed protest posters, sponsored at the bottom by some socialist group. It made for giggles, as they waddled away in shame. In a side note, what did these people do on their average day, work? I have my doubts about that, since it was usually a standard work day when they were snowed out of their global warming march. Then you had an ingenious idea, "going green". This set off an entire industry of new demands, and products to support it. There are glaring disparities, and outright hypocrisy, deeply embedded in the new movement. It has become so bad, the government has even tried to regulate what kind of light bulbs we are able to buy. What is wrong with this? The new bulbs, while more efficient (when they work) are extremely expensive, and contain hazardous materials. Then came the hybrid. The funny part, they have only achieved the same mileage as the first fully electric cars 100 years ago. Tesla may be the break out maker, but is hardly affordable. And the glaring hypocrisy, they are still powered by fossil fuels. Most electricity in the US, is fossil fuel based, or nuclear, which these "global warming" alarmists hate equally, or more in some cases. But what happened to "global warming"? It seemed to vanish, almost overnight. There were people in power, who were heavily vested in green energy that began to panic, their self professed warnings, and convenient solutions, were being embarrassed at ever turn. They had sweat on their brows, as the warnings of meltdown became laughable, even to the most stubborn supporters, as they saw the electric bills climb ever higher, and they shoved out, week after week of snow. The solution, brilliant in its "no commitment" stance, raise the fear, and no specifics are needed. Out with global warming, and usher in the one size fits all (drum roll please) "CLIMATE CHANGE"! TA DA! Now they are able to argue that every climate event, is man caused. Too hot? Mans fault! Too cold? MANS FAULT! Just right? MANS FAULT! We can now regulate, restrict, deny, and blame man, for everything in the weather. It is perfect. The vested politicians (al whore, ect.) now have a fit all scheme to blame mans presence for anything malignant or benign. These people created an industry of bullshit, at the top of that list, carbon offsets. Al Whore is vested heavily in this guilt driven industry. You have a fireplace in your home, and burn wood, well now you can do it guilt free. Give Al Whore your money, and he will plant a tree, to remove your guilt at burning a few logs to keep warm. It is such a great idea, that he and others, want to implement the idea, worldwide. It is nothing more than a shame tax on industry. Only problem, most countries don't want to play the game, because it would destroy the economy that they only created, since US guilt drove companies to their shores. China, India, Russia, pretty much all of Asia, and South/Central America, won't join in. They are not as stupid is the guilt ridden proud shameful elitist Americans. And they certainly are not going to throw in the towel, when it is the first time they have been let into the game. The last point that needs to be made, is the arrogance of these people, so proud of the shame they can lay at YOUR FEET. So narcissistic, they actually claim they want to "save the planet"! WOW, REALLY, SAVE OUR PLANET? Fact, the planet cares nothing for man, we are passengers on a tectonic, water covered, beast. It can, and does, kill us at will. Volcanoes throw more crap into the atmosphere, than even the worst polluters, in just a few days of belching. It is almost as if the planet is laughing at us. That alphabet volcano in Iceland, dropped global temperatures for the next decade. And as a final insult to the galactically stupid, CO2 is now the biggest threat. What? You mean breathing out is the cause of climate change? When I was younger, it was carbon monoxide, you know, the bad shit from motors, that was dangerous. Now it's carbon DIOXIDE, the gas we breathe out, and plants/trees reconvert back to oxygen, so we can breathe in again. Confront your nearest tree hugger with these questions. What caused the earth to be so warm, the US was once covered in water and tropical vegetation? What caused the earth to freeze so much, that North America was covered in glaciers? When did bad pollution become everything secreted by life on earth. Breathing, farts, all causing climate change ? Do you believe the earth gives a shit what we do? Matter can not be created, nor destroyed, only transformed. Everything we have today, came from our planet, and will return to our planet. Lastly, do you believe the earth has no expiration date? If you do, you are an idiot. The earth is temporary, and if all goes perfect, it will be devoured by our dying sun one day. That is the best case scenario. Worst case, a gigantic object plows through our home, like a rifle bullet through an egg. Get over yourselves, we are not that important, and certainly not nearly as powerful as we would like to believe we are. In closing, do I want a dirty planet? Of course not, but pretending we are some filthy creature, destroying an innocent solar creature with this misfortune of having a pest called man, is ridiculous.
