Activists held a demonstration Thursday evening outside the White House ahead of President Trump's Christmas Tree lighting in the form of a play characterizing Senator Mitch McConnell as "The Grinch" for failing to fund emergency COVID-19 relief and other progressive causes. The activists were led by DC progressive organizations CPD Action and Shut Down DC.
