Walking in the most dangerous and criminal district in Japan - Kabukicho. Kabukicho is famous as the dangerous criminal district of Tokyo, being the capital of the feared Yakuza (Japanese mafia). It is not uncommon to see street fights in this area. In 2004, according to a spokesperson of Metropolitan Tokyo, there are more than 1,000 yakuza members in Kabukicho, and 120 different enterprises under their control including brothels. It is famous for its gangland shootings. The district is controlled by multiple rival crime syndicates, including the Yamaguchi-gumi crime organization and the Inagawa-kai crime syndicate.
