After two months of testimony, a California jury entered its third day of deliberations on the fate of Derick Almena, the landlord of the Ghostship Artists collective. Throughout the trial, this piece of shit has tried paint himself as the victim, and pointed the blame at everyone but him, including the city, the fire department, and the owner of the building. Last year Almena and Max Harris were charged with 36 counts of manslaughter, and both face 36 years in prison, one year for each victim. Background on the fire: On December 2, 2016, at approximately 11:20 pm, a fire broke out in a former warehouse that had been converted into an artist collective with living spaces known as Ghost Ship. At the time of the fire, the warehouse in the Fruitvale neighborhood of Oakland, California was hosting a crowded concert.
