Jeremy Clarkson thought he had cancer before altercation with 'Top Gear' producer

Blame it on stress.

Jeremy Clarkson revealed in a column Sunday that he'd been told he might have a cancerous lump on his tongue, just two days before getting into a physical altercation with a Top Gear producer. The incident ultimately cost Clarkson his job hosting the hugely popular British car show.

“That was the most stressful day I had ever had in 27 years at the BBC," Clarkson wrote in The Sunday Times. "It was beyond-belief stressful, everything was going wrong, and then you know ... there you go. But everybody has stressful days, and they manage to cope better than I did.” Read more...
