On October 29th, 2019, the company "CDI" out of Phoenix, Maryland served as the explosives subcontractor for NorthStar Contracting of New York, performing a controlled demolition of the 360-foot-tall smokestack at the old Verso paper mill site in Bucksport, Maine. Part of the site will be used for construction of the new $250 million Whole Oceans salmon farm.
