Workers save teen from brutal beatdown

Bronx bodega workers heroically stepped in to save a teen from a brutal beatdown, surveillance shows. Footage shows a teen running into a Highbridge bodega - tailed by a mob of boys, who quickly corner him in an aisle and kick him to the ground. The crew continue to pummel the 16-year-old with punches and kicks to the head until bodega workers step in and chase them away. The deli's owner, Edward Lara, was one of the people who stepped in, holding a stick, according to reports. The incident reminded Lara of 15-year-old Lesandro "Junior" Guzman-Feliz, who was butchered in June outside a different Bronx bodega - where no one came to his aid. Police said a 15-year-old has been arrested in connection with Tuesday's beatdown and they're still looking for six other people involved. Prior to the beating, the group of teens allegedly fired a gun and hit a 56-year-old dad as he crossed the street, police said. He's expected to survive.
