Tensions remain high in Zimbabwe as election result is awaited

Zimbabwe's opposition party is accusing the election commission of deliberately delaying the result of this week's general election to favour the ruling Zanu PF Party. Amid increasing tensions, the Movement for Democratic Change, led by Nelson Chamisa, has taken the step of claiming victory and beginning celebrations. The Zimbabwe Election Commission has asked both sides to abide by the eventual result.
