I've seen this guy a couple of times surfing the river Limmat in Z"urich on my way home from work a couple of times. He uses a bungee rope tied to the foot bridge to surf the river flow. It was pretty fast and swollen that evening as we'd had a few days of rain, as well as melting snow from the mountains filling up Lake Z"urich from which the river flows. No catastrophes here folks, although he does almost take out a canoeist at 45 seconds, and the canoeist doesn't look too impressed. Enjoy, and feel the strain on those abs!
