Houthis have captured the entire city of Al-Hawtah, the provincial capital of Yemen's southern state of Lahij, a senior government official said Wednesday. The Houthi militants backed by army troops loyal to former President Ali Abdullah Saleh entered Al-Hawtah and stormed several government buildings before expanding their control over the entire city," the official told. The development came moments after the Houthi group captured the key Al-Anad airbase in the southern province.
