A group of residents in Sumatra, Indonesia, had a difficult time walking through a road completely submerged by floodwaters. Footage from yesterday (April 28) shows young men struggling to cross a road as the water reaches up to their chests in Bengkulu in southwest Sumatra, which has been the hardest hit by flooding following torrential rains. At least 31 people have died, while a dozen are still missing and thousands have been displaced.

UK truck driver's quick reactions prevent tragedy

The quick reactions of a UK truck driver prevented a certain tragedy when a woman unexpectedly ran into the road in South West London. Driver Craig Lindop from Hayling Island was making his way down Fulham Palace Road in London on March 1 when the woman suddenly ran out in front of him. Lindop slammed on the brakes of his 40-tonne car transporter and somehow came to a halt without hitting the unidentified woman. According to Lindop, she was later taken away in an ambulance, although she was unharmed physically. Social media users were impressed by Lindop's fast reflexes. "Ninja reactions there. Top map!" said one Facebook user.

Huge 20-metre termite train weaves across the ground in Thailand

This huge termite train was filmed winding across the ground. The long trail of the ant-like termite insects, which bite and sting, was seen in Prachinburi, eastern Thailand on Saturday, April 13. The termite trail appeared to be stretching more than 20 metres across the dry, dusty ground in the woodland. The filmer said: ''I didn't know what they were at first, either ants of termites. But I filmed them and asked friends and everyone agreed they were termites. I was quite amazed by how many of them were there and how organised they were in a long trail moving from one place to another.''

Cardiff pop-up panda tent victim of Storm Hannah

Gusts from Storm Hannah blew a panda shaped pop-up tent down a road in Cardiff, before it ended up on the pavement. The video was posted by Chris Lloyd on Twitter with the caption "A rare sighting this morning in Roath, Cardiff of Hannah of #StormHannah fame who's actually just an angry panda" on April 27. Chris had peaked through his blinds in the morning when he "Saw this angry panda thundering down the road looking for trouble."

Clashes break out between voters in West Bengal during Indian national elections

Police broke up clashes between rival voters in West Bengal as voting was held in the fourth round of the national election in India on Monday (April 29). Footage shows people running away from clashes outside a polling station in Asansol. Armed security forces chasing away people further in the video. No injuries were reported.
